LaCie SilverKeeper 1.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
I had long seen comments in Version Tracker such as "wiped out hard drive". Could not understand haw anyone could be so stupid. After installing this I actually thought it had happenened to a genius such as me. Softrware is a disaster (at least for me even though I love the word "freeware"). UNPLUG, replug & restart. I don't know how you read this if you are where I was. Don't install it even though it will probably work. [alert admin]

iCab 2.9.5 (Mac OS 9)
I have been using it for three days & the only page I have had any problems with is Version Tracker. It is faster than IE at some tasks & slower at others. The "back" which used to be great in IE (Though not as good as Cyberdog was) has slowed horribly with all the Flash & other useless crap such that this seems faster. [alert admin]

The only change I can see in this version (Iam sure there are others) is that Versiontracker page is scrambled. [alert admin]

Macromedia Shockwave Player 8.5.1r102 (Mac OS 9)
I hate Flash. Is there any web site using these for anything anyone would actually want to see? I think it is used solely for the web equivilent of ambush SPAM bringing otherwise useful sites to a crawl to load irritating ads. I don't mind ads on the side that don't interfere but between this crap, popups & SPAM the internet is becoming useless. I don't know what Harris Direct is selling but I do know that I will never consider buying it. [alert admin]

Macromedia Flash Player 6.0 r79 (Mac OS 9)
Flash Ads thinks someone else wants to see them. Wrong. Someone else gives ads as an example of something I want to see. Wrong! I repeat, Is this or any other Macromedia product anything but "slow loading spamware?" [alert admin]

having the problem with continuous "update" of Turbotax engine. Also data transfer to state form (New Mexico) seems to be garbage. I have used it since 95 & it seems to be following path of Quicken. Their technical support just does not exist. I will use Tax Cut next year. [alert admin]

Shockwave, can't tell difference. If it didn't exist I wouldn't feel any need to invent it. [alert admin]
