OmniWeb 4.2 (Mac OS X)
the first version to incorporate the open source WebCore and JavaScriptCore frameworks from Apple, which should mean maaajor improvements to our support for Internet standards like CSS, HTML, XHTML, and JavaScript. If you are a current OmniWeb 4.x license holder, and you want to kick the tires of 4.5, you can download the first sneaky peek release from http://www.omnigroup.com/ftp/pub/software/MacOSX/.sneakypeek/ We're still working on 5.0, which will have lots of new innovative browsing features. OmniOutliner 2.2 (Mac OS X)
- we've managed to determine what's going on here; it looks like the Keynote 1.0.1 update moved some of the files we need slightly. If you open up your Keynote Export preferences pane and change the "Theme File" setting to the following text (minus the quotes), the option should re-activate. Sorry about the confusion! "/Applications/Keynote.app/Contents/Resources/Themes/03_Blackboard_10x7.kth" (We'll be making the preferences a little more robust in a future release to prevent this from happening again.) OmniWeb 4.1.1 (Mac OS X)
you have noticed we did indeed replace the disk images that were released on October 1 with a new set of images that were posted at about 1AM on October 2. This was due to reports we received from users that were having problems with the images. Many users did not have any problems at all. Several thousand people downloaded OmniWeb and we had reports from about 50 people. This problem, though we are still not certain of the exact cause, is due to a bug in Mac OS X 10.2(.1) as far as we can tell. We have been in communication with Apple regarding this problem and hopefully they will either fix the bug or be able to give us a concrete reason for why it happens so that we can be sure it will not happen in the future. In the meantime we have modified the way we create the disk images to minimize the chances that mounting one will cause problems. Since posting the updated OmniWeb images we have not had a single report of the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused our users and we want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to be sure this does not happen again. [alert admin]

OmniWeb 4.1b1 (Mac OS X)
regarding OmniWeb Flash support: With release 6.0r40 of the Flash plugin installed OmniWeb 4.1 would no longer display Flash content. This remains true with the now current release of 6.0r47. We have been working on correcting this issue and we'll be releasing a new version of OmnIWeb with the problem corrected as soon as we can. We thank you all for your patience. [alert admin]

OmniOutliner 1.2.1 (Mac OS X)
else who might experience this): The trouble is, you upgraded to 2.0.1 which did not support the beta license you were using. 2.0 is a paid upgrade that mistakenly shipped supporting a previous beta license that was set to expire on May 22. We caught the problem in 2.0.1 - which is why the beta license was not supported. Although our goal was to make sure users understood that 2.0 was a paid upgrade from 1.0, we *clearly* sent some confusing messages, for which I apologize. If anyone's files have been affected by a mistaken 2.0 upgrade, please send your 1.0 license information (and describe your problem) to sales@omnigroup.com. Again, The Omni Group is sorry for this misunderstanding. [alert admin]

OmniObjectMeter 2.0 (Mac OS X)
asked one of our engineers to get in touch with you about your problem with ObjectMeter, and I'm hoping we can resolve your issue. I apologize for your prior messages about OmniWeb not getting a response sooner - unfortunately we get thousands of messages every month regarding OmniWeb and sometimes we're just simply overwhelmed. By now you have received a response from our support staff (better late than...oh, you know). Again, sorry for dropping the ball on our end. [alert admin]

OmniWeb 4.1b1 (Mac OS X)
continue to load the current page until the first byte of data arrives for the new page. The current page keeps loading, but we do fetch the requested page, too. For users who are on a modem or an otherwise slow connection this can be bad because often their connection is saturated with all of the content loading for the current page and so the requested page content doesn't really have room to arrive until the current page is almost finished or has finished loading. As far as I know we will be reviewing this behavior for version 5.0. [alert admin]

OmniGraffle 2.0b9 (Mac OS X)
give a couple more examples of how OG differs from ConceptDraw. ConceptDraw comes in several different flavors, while OmniGraffle is 'one size fits all'. All of our palettes will work with any copy of OG, and we're working to continually add more shapes. OG has some developer focused tools: rich AppleScript support - including a "Copy as AppleScript" feature, where you can take any shape in your document and generate an AppleScript that creates that shape. You can also drag frameworks and Project Builder files into OmniGraffle and interact with them. Finally, OmniGraffle is developed specifically for Mac OS X, leveraging cool OS X features like the Aqua interface, etc. It's just more fun to use! : ) [alert admin]
