MacTheRipper 2.6.6 (Mac OS X)

Bad Sectors

Firstly MTR is a fantastic product. It seems with this latest version that I keep getting the error message 'bad sectors' after a rip... is there any reason for this...? [alert admin]

WeatherPop Advance 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Me too...

Icons in New Zealand are set to night during the day and then around sunset they begin to change to daytime ones. but it looks like a sun against a nighttime sky and moons against the daytime sky. Fruity. [alert admin]

Final Draft 7.0 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

More bugs...

Even with the new 7.0.33 update there are still some serious bugs that make Final Draft 7 unusable, these include; 1. Serious redraw issues including ghosting and invisible text. 2. You can no longer tab past a character to a transition, doing so merely accepts whichever character is chosen at that point. 3. Page Up and Page Down commands work intermittently and don't redraw the slider at the side. 4. In the Reformat window pushing the numbers next to the related action doesn't work i.e pushing 2 doesn't reformat the text to Action. After flushing $59.99 down the loo, I've gone back to FD6 [alert admin]

Final Draft 7.0 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Strange Bugs...

There are some very strange bugs in the new version of Final Draft. I have literally just watched a page of my script reformat itself. After changing a line of dialogue, the next scene header changed itself to a character and then a few seconds later the following action changed itself to dialogue and so on until the end of the page...!?! Also, when you reach the bottom of a page FD7 appears to move your block of text to the next page and keep a 'ghost' block of text on the previous page... very wierd. [alert admin]

Hog Bay Notebook 3.01 (Mac OS X)

Initially...

Initially I was flumoxed that Hog Bay had gotten rid of the great sidebar menu with folders system, however if you choose to 'show outline on left' and uncheck 'show checkboxes' in the 'outline/status' menu, hog bay will work as a faster, steamlined version of 2.2 with the advantage of using the sidebar as a navigator (which I don't use). I love the new version, and the Hog Bay Notebook remains one of my five key bits of OSX software i could not do without. [alert admin]

Final Draft 7.0 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Crikey...

I've used Final Draft since version 4 and haven't experienced any of the problems described below... Final Draft is a very simple specific screenwriting program, and it does it very well I think. Personally I don't want a large bloated program that does a whole lot of stuff thet I don't need and slow's my machine down. It's pretty clear what the new features are from the website and they look good. The authorisation system has always worked well and the software is well priced... $59 for a full version upgrade is fantastic. As a specific writing tool Final Draft is great... Movie Magic Screenwriter... now there's a piece of *censored*. My 2 cents... [alert admin]

Directors Boards Free 1.1a (Mac OS X)

Getting better...

This suite of Filemaker Pro templates is getting a bit better. There are still major problems with it's functionality. The developer has a good idea, he just needs to find himself an OSX programmer and write it in native code. It would cost a bit but it would make this 'app' absuolutely indespensible. There are still problems with saving, the display, the print dialogue box etc... c'mon man... make this native, make this native, make this native... [alert admin]
