Read Read Revolution 1.3 (Mac OS X)
to know if that method is known as a real efficient solution to learn fast reading. Even if the French localization is an abomination (full of syntax and spelling mistakes), this software is working fine under Mac OS X 10.1.4. 4 stars because RRR is doing what it claims. [alert admin]

Doublet Scan 4.0b1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
put the application inside the "Applications" folder under Mac OS X 10.1.4 to avoid many crashes. Really fast and efficient but I don't really like the Sherlock like interface for displaying paths. Under Mac OS X, I'd rather find some one-line paths like "/rootfolder/subfolder/filename" to have an immediate view of files locations. Looking at the file location to know which duplicated file should be erased is a real necessity and scrolling down everytime to discover the location isn't pleasant at all. The best thing would be to display the path just on the right of the files names so we could compare instantaneously duplicated files locations. Type and creator columns could be put somewhere else in a window, a drawer or inside the actual sheet giving more informations about the files. Adding a button to display such informations could then be an idea. [alert admin]

obviously remaining excellent: the best from far with I.E 5. Excellent stability: better than I.E and and Omniweb. Faster than I.E. and Omniweb except at launch time. The java plugin is working perfectly. Browsing with tabs is a pleasure. But bookmarks management really needs to be improved. [alert admin]

use Apple's Mac OS X Feedback link to request for the support of these burners. It could maybe help... [alert admin]

DragThing 4.2.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
I downloaded Dragthing again and reinstalled it to follow your advice. Much better, you are true, overall when transparency is used. So I found one nice setting (I am not enjoying the texture+style combination results, sorry), this is not a lot, but very sufficient to begin: That's why I will now give 5 (nicer) stars. Main cosmetic enhancement expected: applying colors and setting their transparence would give some really nice results under Mac OS X. [alert admin]

DragThing 4.2.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
like any old Mac OS 9 versions under Mac OS X. Look at those tabs... Hey Aqua does exist! Even the menus are not what I could expect under Mac OS X. The developers should look at the old "Launcher" for the gui and at "MaxMenus" for the menu rendering. For these reasons, a carbonized version for Mac OS X only or a cocoa one would be welcome. Anyway 5 (ugly) stars for the excellent features ;) [alert admin]

Launcher 3.0.1 (Mac OS X)
the very first age of Mac OS X is remaining the most splendid launcher for Mac OS X. This "old" Launcher even rocks under Mac OS X 10.1.3. I wish the Best Developer for Mac OS X could find time to add more features (spring loaded and popup menus, for example) ;) [alert admin]

EasyFind 2.5 (Mac OS X)
file content search but the folders choice is too poor. Il will continue to use Locator to search for files and pictures (Locator is also really fast and offering any folder choice and picture preview). [alert admin]

DropExtract 0.20 (Mac OS X)
with chmod007. The freeware OpenUp is always the best GUI solution for expanding tgz tar and zip (and other types of) files but not StuffIt Expander : StuffIt Expander won't support long file names (more than 32 characters) and will replace some original long names with 32 characters truncated names.
