MacLockPick 1.0 (Mac OS X)
"fast access to the suspect's critical information with as little interaction or trace as possible"... Um, that shouldn't matter if the officer has a search warrant. This tool is ILLEGAL. What's next, subrosasoft? A physical lockpick so the officer can illegally break into the suspect's house so that he can illegally search the suspects computer? None of this matters if they have a search warrant. Thanks for helping to break down the process of law and further our progress towards a big brother police state. (Version 2.0 will have an additional feature of planting a bag of weed on the suspects computer after you remove the flash drive.) [alert admin]

Free Solitaire 3D 2.0 (Mac OS X)
There's "free" in the description too: "Play your favourite Solitaire games, including FreeCell, Spider, Gaps and Klondike, all for free." Maybe "free" means $19.95 in Klingon or something... [alert admin]

Apple Boot Camp 1.0.2 Beta (Mac OS X)
... how well this beta works. Really awesome. Just wish Apple would let us know if the new beta releases can be installed over the previous without having to wipe the windows partition. Got to back up that Far Cry save. [alert admin]

EV Nova 1.0.10 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
$30 seems entirely reasonable since they're still working on it. This is the third release after all. Used to play the original all the time back in the day and this one looks even better. There is a ton of customization available too. Having said that, there's another reason why $30 seems reasonable. Ambrosia is one of the few Mac game developers out there, and while they've grown over the years, they're still in no way an EA. They're even very friendly. A couple of years ago, they sent me their logo in EPS form for my graphic design senior project - the only question asked was if there was any other way they could help. I have no problem paying $30 for a great game from a great company. [alert admin]

Vulture's 2.0 (Mac OS X)
Back in the day I played a lot ot nethack, more when I got the graphical replacements for the ascii display, and now, here comes nethack in full-blow isometric large graphics. This is a *really* cool new version on an oldschool classic. There go the hours or productivity. =D [alert admin]

Vulture's 2.0 (Mac OS X)
More of a waste of time having to read the whining. Go to the developers page. Look at the pretty screenshots. Notice that the developer mentions he's done this to be like Falcons Eye. Go to the Falcons Eye page. Notice that Falcons Eye isn't available for the Mac. Go back and look at this page. Notice that Vultures Eye *is* available for the Mac AND IT'S FREE. Sure, there's something missing or a bug or something, but the developer is taking time to include a Mac binary for us Mac whiners. Be patient, inform developer something's wrong. If all he gets is whining, all we might get is a broken FREE game as the developer decides it's not worth figuring out what's wrong to deliver a FREE game to a bunch of whiners. Either give him a chance or give him some help. Whining isn't any help for anyone. [alert admin]

iVolume 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Although some might argue that it's a tad pricey, I must say that this works as advertised and extremely well at that. It took almost two days to go through my music collection of almost 8000 songs and while it couldn't do anything with my protected iTMS songs (only the ones after iTunes 6 broke jHymn), using the suggested decibel setting of 91.5 meshes them flawlessly (so far - i've tested about 600 songs as of now). iVolume 2 marks what songs it's processed by adding a long string at the front of your comments, while your comments are still there (at the end), they're a little harder to use because of the iVolume string (and I use comments like crazy for smart playlists). I was able to relatively painlessly change a freeware applescript to clean the iVolume comments out, leaving me with just the comments I started with, although I'll need to keep track of new additions to run through iVolume now. Which brings me to this: what's changed in 2.01? No "What's new" section for the new version. I'm hoping for a change in the way the comment system works. A small "iV2" at the end of the comments field or something. Anyways, the developer seems really helpful, the app works great, and I'd recommend this to anyone. For a process that took almost 2 days unsupervised for an app, I can't even begin to think how many months this would take manually. [alert admin]

iVolume 2.0.0 (Mac OS X)
It's $7 if you bought iVolume 1. What I've been looking for, but not sure $15 to run through my library once is worth it... (I'd have it now - actually went to kagi and everything - except that when I got there it was $15.) [alert admin]

Make Symlink 1.1.4 (Mac OS X)
Earlier comment on an earlier version said it was $12... Now we get "improved 10.4.2 compatability"... for $2 more. Check out free apps that do the same thing in comments OR open up terminal and type "man ln" to learn how to make symbolic links. Then bill yourself $14. [alert admin]

EasyFind 3.7 (Mac OS X)
For anyone needing to use boolean operators to search filenames, this is a must have. One note: to search for substrings, use the tilde. (This is in the readme, but it eluded me for quite some time.) For example, to search for files with XXX but not YYY in the name, use: ~XXX but not ~YYY Simply awesome solution to Apple's crippled Find dialog. [alert admin]

"Sir, do you know why I stopped you? Oh... you have a laptop... Let me see that a second. I'll be right back. *wait* Ok, sir. I'll give you a warning for speeding for now. Wait until I analyze all this stuff I just illegally pulled off your computer and I might be getting back to you. Have a good day." This pisses me off on so many levels. Versiontracker and Subrosasoft, screw you both. http://www.macupdate.com

no, that shot is one with the "speed shot" turned on pointing at the center of a ball that is coming down 180° vertically. it doesn't happen much, but it happens. what I described didn't have anything to do with my ability to play the game, but apparently I *have* played the game a lot more than you to see this happen occasionally. just trying to give an objective review of the game, if I've…

Well, hello. Seems I've been searching with the wrong keywords all this time. Thanks for the tip. This (with the exception of the protected AAC) is exactly what i've been wanting and only $7! Bless you! No more nervous moments in the car between songs getting ready to grab the volume knob to keep my speakers from blowing out! =D

Version 1.8.1 seems to grab the artwork from iTunes. Would be buying right now if the next version (Synergy Advance) wasn't around the corner and different from Synergy Classic. Definitely be buying Advance when it comes out. Super cool.
