Apple G5 (June 2004) Firmware Update 5.1.8f7 (Mac OS X)
Causes freeze/high fan behavior
After applying this update to my dual 2.0 GHz machine (June 2004), my machine has twice locked up -- black screen, fans on full tilt. Both times, I have been away from the system, so the exact behavior is not exactly clear. Prior to applying this update, I never experienced a similar crash. Hopefully this will not continue to be a daily occurence. [alert admin]

iPatches 0.A (Mac OS X)
Run iPatches on two LAN-connected computers. Select your counterpart, and click the "Yarr!" button. A voice connection should be established between the two computers, and you can talk back and forth (preferably like pirates.) [alert admin]

Goban v10 (Mac OS X)
scoring seems to be very slow though. Also would be useful to be able to undo from the end of the game. [alert admin]

Prebinding has no effect on CFM applications. Additionally, prebinding is basically a no-op on recent versions of OS X.

Mark, We've looked into supporting plugins, but many of them are rather hard to track. In Flaming Pear's case, there are some versioning issues that prevent us from doing a good job of figuring out what you've installed. I've sent the developer a note about this issue, but haven't heard back yet. Hopefully we'll manage to resolve this eventually. Regards, Ladd Van Tol (VersionTracker Pro Developer)

mboszko, Sorry you're having trouble. You should be able to get a similar appearance to before by adjusting the opacity of the individual background colors. There's a slider for this purpose in the color picker window, allowing you to adjust transparency more finely that before. I'll try to fix the problem with the main window always opening for the next release, and see if I can do anything about your connection failures. - Ladd Van Tol…

Robfol, We'll try to work on icon load speed improvements for a future release. For your backup drive, you might try specifically deselecting that drive in the VersionTracker Pro preferences -- it should save your selection after that. Thanks for writing, Ladd Van Tol (VersionTracker Pro Developer)
