Macromedia Flash Player 8.0.22 (Mac OS X)

UPDATE 2 Can't Install. Even with Browsers closed.

A stand alone player should not be this hard to do. What I don't understand is..if I have to basically reinstall browsers, update everything and correct permissions on my computer...to find out it still doesn't install...why bother even using it.. Why can't they just create an installer WHICH WORKS FIRST under any condition! Shouldn't it be a STAND ALONE player? AND a browser plugin? How hard can that be?..smaller companies and individuals create them every week! AND THIS IS MACROMEDIA? - My rating is for the installer alone! Macromedia suggests ALL THIS! just to play a crummy flash file. Now I have to tell my client..I can't read their file..Ridiculous; ---------------------------------- Trouble with Macintosh Installation If you have trouble with installation of Flash Player, follow the below troubleshooting steps. If one step does not correct the problem, move onto the next step. For optimal troubleshooting, after each step, restart your machine, and Test Macromedia Flash Player before moving onto the next step. Reinstall. Many issues are related to a problem with a previous installation of Flash Player or to browser configuration. Refer to the steps in Try this first: How to fix almost all Flash Player issues. Move to Step 2 of this section if problems persist. Be sure to check System Requirements. Software Update: On Macintosh OS X, if using Internet Explorer you may need to do a software update. Run your machine's Software Update from System Preferences, restart, and check for further updates. Repeat until no further updates are available. Finally, download and install the latest Flash Player from the Macromedia Flash Player Download Center. Permissions: Your permissions may not allow you to install plug-ins. If this is a possibility, refer to Permissions can affect installing Macromedia Flash Player for more information. Download the Standalone installer for either Internet Explorer or Netscape-compatible browsers for Mac OSX, or for the Mac Classic OS. This can help resolve most other download or installation issues. For best results, download the installer to your desktop, and close the browser before running the installer. Reinstall the browser. Download and install the latest version from your browser manufacturer's Web site. Download and install the latest Flash Player from the Macromedia Flash Player Download Center. ---------------------------------------------- [alert admin]

D-Vision 3.1.2 (Mac OS X)

THE BEST!!!!!!!!!

This is one of the best...newbie...easy to use vob joiner, encoder and subtitler application out there. It is easy to use..and to control the Queue...AND I never needed a manual. If you don't know what a vob file is or something else you need to do a little reading..but...once you do..this application will be your best friend. If it's crashing I recommend deleting the old preference file or look at your other "processes" that might be conflicting..also using programs like "Little Snitch" allow the user to be their own Big Sister to keep Big Brother in his room. It allows you (the soverign of your computer) to control which apps can "phone home". [alert admin]

Apple iPhoto 5.0 (Mac OS X)

iPhoto STOP MAKING DUPLICATES of my PHOTOS!!

Basically, I have my image files organized in folders the way I WANT them to be..such as also with my MP3s. Does this version of iPhoto have the option to "see" only your original folders and files and ACCEPT them as the one and only photo instead of duplicating my entire collection into another 8 GB Library onto my hard drive? That's all I need and really ask for. iTunes allows me keep my MP3s exactly where I want them and not to make duplicates. It's an option in the Preferences area. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? ConvertToQt 1.1b (Mac OS X)

I am really tired now.

This crashed first and last time. Will not convert. Does not work. I am tired. Can't someone out there make a simple conversion tool for .avi files to anything else? All we need is a drag and drop..boom done!..and actually, have a result that is elementary...to have the Audio and Video in synch??? Why is this so hard??..I have been waiting for over 9 years for a simple .avi tool. I am so tired of looking. Where is the genius that solve this? [alert admin]
