PostCard 20030713 (Mac OS X)
I don't mind shelling out another $10 when I replaced my laptop. Really, it's a great app and I use it all the time. The part that gets me is that he totally blew off my e-mails enquiring about it (before I figured out on my own I needed a new license). On the other hand, other questions I asked got a polite and speedy answer! He's probably sick of dealing with complaints over a measly $10, but still, just ignoring us doesn't really help either. Freeway Pro 4.3.2 (Mac OS X)
Thanks to Freeway my web design business is booming. Without having to learn a line of code I have even been able to create shopping carts and dynamic sites using php. I love this program, despite a few persistent bugs and other annoyances. It really makes web design simple, and it's helped me make money. Another huge plus is the helpful user support and very active forums. [alert admin]

netTunes 2.3.1 (Mac OS X)
Ingenious little solution to controlling an iTunes on one computer via any other computer on the network. I've been using it for two years, and it really works well for me. My setup is an iMac that holds the music library, which I control, via airport, from my laptop across the room. I use it all the time, and it's been steady and reliable for me. Developer replies to inquires, including tips to configure the firewall settings to make it work (an issue that wasn't covered well in the documentation). [alert admin]

A Better Finder Creators & Types 3.2.2 (Mac OS X)
The "Better Finder" series is indespensible. Creators and Types was essential in OS 9, but still has a valuable function in all versions of OS X to date. I sometimes wonder how I could live without it, at those times when I have to make batch changes to the file and/or creator types. I use this in conjunction with Rename (my favorite module to the series). The developer supports his software, makes regular updates, and indeed honors his "Forever" upgrade. Personally, I believe in supporting shareware, and the author's pricing is utterly reasonable considering how useful these tools are. [alert admin]

Apple has not dropped support for Panther. Previous versions of iTunes still work with Panther and Apple is not requiring this update for continued ITMS access. What Apple has done is release an update that requires Tiger. There's a HUGE difference, pipsqueak.
