Disc Cover 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)
Of the three programs that I tried (Discus, Disc Cover, and DiscLabel), this program has the best look and feel of all the programs. It is very intuitive to use, very easy and fun! The web download only offers 900 images, but the CD purchse offers 23,000+ images! I think that the rotating text manipulation is the best by far of all the 3 programs. Usng the inspector tab (similar to Pages, Keynote, etc) is very straight forward. The iLife integration is implemented very nicely and I love the web search for images! The may not be the most robust (featurewise) of the three, but for a version 1.X, it shows the most promise! [alert admin]

Apple Security Update 2005-007 (Mac OS X)
10.4.2 helped with AD login/security issues on my PB, but now the security update FINALLY fixed the 10-20 delay in authenticating! Thanks Apple! Repaired perms before and after and install went perfectly. [alert admin]

Microsoft PST Import 1.0.0 (Mac OS X)
We are undergoing a mass migration from Exchange Server 5.5 to Server 2003 and our Mac users didn't have anyway to conviently store email messages for offline view. This program came just in time! Works great for the limited testing that I have done. Just make sure the Entourage SP 11.01 is applied [alert admin]

iDefrag 1.04 (Mac OS X)
I ran this on my iMac G4/1.2Gh, iBook G4/1.2gh, PM G5 Dual 2.5 and it worked great everytime. I was amazed that the 1st boot after defrag never brought up the "Welcome to Macintosh" screen, it went from the Gray Apple logo/spinner to my desktop! Talk about new found speed! Apps launch within 1-2 bounces and it protected even my biggest FCE files! I will still use Techtool and diskwarrior to check the HD before optimize, but this program is MUCH better a defrag than TTP4. [alert admin]

Apple Mac OS X 10.3.7 (Mac OS X)
I used the combo updater (always do) and repaired permissions. First reboot took a little longer than usual (expected) and repaired permissions (as usual). Mail launch in about 2 bounces and safari seems a little snappier. Also loaded this on my kids iMacs (G3/400) and they both seem alot better... [alert admin]
