PangeaVR 2.1 (Mac OS X)

In summary: Great app

Brian showed us how QTVRs *should* look. Panning is very smooth and depending on the amount of available RAM on your video card, sharp. Kudos to Brian. [alert admin]

fovCalculator 1.0.3 (Mac OS X)

Sutffit problem - fovCalculator won't start

Note, there is a bug in Stuffit 8.0 that removes the execute permission. If you download fovCalculator and it doesn't start, upgrade to Stuffit 8.0.2 and re-download. Otherwise, you can go to the terminal window and type in chmod +x fovCalculator This adds the execute permission to fovCalculator. Best wishes, Kevin [alert admin]

Panotools plugins 2.0v4 (Mac OS X)

well, in defense of myself

Look at it this way. For $39.95 you get LensFix with a whole lot of distortion correction factors already determined for you and the rest of the plug-ins for free. In addition to recreating the original plug-ins, I added full actionability in Photoshop and 16 bit support. Helmut only released the source code for the Panotools library. To create these plug-ins I had to figure out what the library does and how, pay Adobe for the SDK, port Panotools to OS X and re-create the plug-ins. In short, it was a LOT of work. Five plug-ins for $39.95.... I think it is a good deal. Kevin Kekus Digital [alert admin]

Beta doesnt work

That doesn't help me much for a bug report. Many users requested this version be a non-expiring beta but I guess that goes to show you that you can't please everyone. As for this version not working for you, how about creating a new user account and testing it from there. Also, bug reports are welcome on my forum or directly if my mail me at kekus at my domain name. Kevin

Great product, really bad support...

Or better still, let me know the first part of your e-mail address and the purchase date and I'll check my paypal payments and resend the key from my dot mac account. You can post that here so we can be sure it won't get lost in the e-mail cloud. (don't put your full e-mail address here)

Where did you you send the message to? Try "kekus" at the domain name. I generate the keys the same day in most cases but sometimes mail from kekus.com gets rejected by spam filters because spammers have spoofed my domain name. Thanks, Kevin

Crashes Photoshop CS (8.0)

Try repairing your disk permissions. PanoTools writes temporary files when remapping images. If the permissions are wrong on your computer and PanoTools cannot write the temporary file, it may crash. To fix your permissions, go to Utilities > Disk Repair and choose repair permissions. Disk permissions are often incorrect after updating your operating system and on new systems.

Can only get black images

My guess is that you were trying to stitch a panorama of less than 360 degrees. In that case, you should not optimize the field of view of the images as Panotools will reduce the field of view to near zero (long focal lenght) thus making a black panorama (very small images). See the seventh question on my FAQ page: http://www.kekus.com/ptmac/support/
