Drive Genius 2.0.2 (Mac OS X)

Deception!

Use an Intel Tower Quad - used Macs for about 15 Years. Needed to upgrade to Leopard, before senility, makes it even more difficult, to understand. As usual, I buy Apps. upgrades as they appear, via Version Tracker, for Leopard O.S. Drive Genius - breathtaking - Leopard report - Upgrade $59 Dollars ???. Its a time wasting mess, of a web site!. Paid for the upgrade, (Otherwise, I can't use it) Not being very intelligent, it then took 45 Minutes, arguing with the form, to try, and buy it. Surprisingly, this Genius, + Leopard, will not allow me access, to my four big internal disks, (They are blanked out). Then after another hour, find that under Leopard, I Can only access external disks, those outside the box, with dangly cables. With Normal Apple improvements, learned that this program now has to be opened in Tiger, (Which I've just got rid of, for Leopard.) But alternatively, you might wish to create a DVD to open the fixed internal disks, (After Four more hours, I've given up, demoralised, and beaten.) I'm only a man. Its free, I just want it off my machine, and don't want to deal with the company again. [alert admin]

TopXNotes 1.2.1 (Mac OS X)

Missing Feedback

Have paid for, used for a period, and rejected, every previous note facility, produced for the Mac todate. 95% of them just disappeared, or mostly died with the usual Apple upgrade, problem. In other cases, the app, was not improved, was overtaken by a better product. This meant that any information, 40 years of it, (If possible to do so) had to be transferred to the new system. Would have been better to have stuck to the original rotodex card system. What annoys me with these companies, is that :- There are no facilities for Criticism, or suggestions, from users, of this program. This Note book is Good, nearly there, great possibilities, but room for correction, and improvements. The perfect system would be where the program simply indexed, (Straight plain, individual Text Notes) Been there, don't want, or use an ipod, also concerned that improvements, will not keep up, on cheaper non- ipod App. I don't mind paying any extra $ dollars. Thus follows, a few wobbly's, and offered possible improvements, mainly notes to myself. WHEN CLOSED DOWN/ REOPENED - NOTEBOOK MOVES TO DIFFERENT PLACE ON NUMBER ONE SCREEN, (OF THREE.) index page showing ADDING GROUPS - CORRUPTS INDEX - duplicates name, when highlighting to edit Showing Index - 840.GPS Map. should be in Vehicles Walkers should be in 820.owners. Drag and drop didn't work COULD DO WITH PROMOTION/DEMOTION INSTEAD OF CREATING NEW GROUP, AND THEN (Copy+new file) across. <http://www.tropic4.com/> WOULD BE BETTER IF <URL> instant open. No Auto dial for phone nos. including UK. [alert admin]

MultiTunes 1.2 (Mac OS X)

MultiTunes

REALLY WANTED SUCH A PRODUCT. Created 19 Itune, Apple working assemblies, work fine, holding [alt] Key Installed MultiTunes, (No instructions). Added files to Itunes. Renamed/ Installed 1. Classical, worked ok. Installed 2. Books Audio. ok. switched betwixt. ok Installed 3. ZZ.Naughty, everything went corrupt. Wasted two hours, trying to make the Mulitunes, open the file I wanted. Deleted MultiTunes files, nothing of mine lost, except time and temper. The most stupid annoyance, is a timer, that interupts testing out this program. A good idea, that might work for the programmer, but not for me, not finished. [alert admin]

Apple Safari 1.3.2 (Mac OS X)

Safari is totally unstable.

G4, using OS V10.37, 2Gb Ram, 240GB Discs. Safari is the only unstable product on my entire Apple system. Every time I try to inform, or pay a Supplier, for any product, using Safari, it crashes. Seven times on Tuesday, almost losing a 4,500 Pound Sterling machine, that I finally had to bid for with Firefox, by six seconds. Hundreds of crash reports to Apple, totally ignored, neither answered nor queried, total disinterest. Firefox is totally stable, never had a single problem. My only regret is that, I cannot access without pasting the hundreds of Web sites accumulated, that I had transferred to Safari on trust. Most of Apple OS-freeby's, Safari, Address book, Calendar etc. are now totally inferior, and useless to a serious business user. Mail being the only useful exception. Firefox is written by a thinking, questioning, interested team. Good luck to them, Safari is well past its "Used by date." [alert admin]

Panther Cache Cleaner 2.4.6 (Mac OS X)

From the only user, that likes this Program

Very suspicious of this App., to start with. 'twas unfounded, this program has worked faultlessly for me through several upgrades. Not wanting, nor understanding, the gory details of what it does is the beauty of it, why would I wish to change Have not needed, support, its a very straightforward program, which I run occasionally, (To be technical,) purely to stop the Operating system bunging itself up. As my machine is still running well, I will just continue to worry about, Safari, and Address Book, which cost a hell of a lot more, and are continuously the two real failures, in my life.
