Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Haven't had a…

single problem using this program to access my WinXP Pro. PC from my Mac w/OS X 10.1.x or later since this software was initially released. Granted, my Mac-to-PC connection is at home and simply over my LAN, so that's probably helped. But I've also had little to no problems using the Windows version of RDC to access my PC at home from my PC at work (w/ Win2K). [alert admin]

Apple Mac OS X 10.1.3 (Mac OS X)

Fecal Paste -…

Apple has just about always (to my knowledge) released a combo-updater along with its "single version" updater for Mac OS X. For instance, to update directly from 10.1 to 10.1.3, download the combo-updater from here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=120103 As far as the updates themselves, from the first Mac OS X release, each update Apple has released has only improved system performance and stability, and the fact that they've been released fairly consistently and for the most part quickly, I'm very happy with my Mac OS X experience thus far. fitW(fine tuning of Windows) 3.9.0.3500 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)

No longer free…

($19.95 for 1 year for a single domain), but still works as advertised. I've been using it for right at a year now (starting when the service was still free), and 95% of the time everything is A-OK. Every now and then it's a little tough (or slow) accessing their web site, but that's not much of a bother since I rarely actually have to do so. [alert admin]
