GraphicConverter 6.1.1 (Mac OS X)
GraphicConverter is an awesome application, but always seem to run in a problem when a new version is released. 6.1.1 isn't creating preview icons of my JPEG files when it drag a folder to the GC icon in the Dock. Went back to 6.1, and all's well. Despite that issue, which I'm sure will be fixed soon, GC is 5 star application in my books. [alert admin]

Sound Studio 3.5.1 (Mac OS X)
I downloaded, but did not install this version. The file info labels this as 3.5.1b4. Isn't the "b" for beta? [alert admin]

Adobe Photoshop CS2 9.0.2 (Mac OS X)
This might clear up what's going on with the 9.0.2 update. Copied this from the "Additional Notes" section of this update on the Adobe download page (9/14/06): This 9.0.2 update replaces an earlier version that was briefly distributed via the Adobe Update Manager. This revised update addresses an issue discovered in the earlier release that could cause a crash when printing on systems running Mac OS X v.10.2.x or 10.3.x. If you previously installed the earlier 9.0.2 update and are affected by that issue, please reinstall Photoshop CS2, and then apply this update. If you are running Mac OS X v.10.4.x, there is no need to reinstall and apply the update. 1. Quit Photoshop CS2. 2. Move any personal files that you want to save from the Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS2 folder. 3. Delete the Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS2 folders and its contents. 4. Empty the trash. 5. Run the Photoshop CS2 installer. 6. Run the Photoshop 9.0.2 update. This updater will update only the retail version of Adobe Photoshop CS2 software and not any prerelease (beta) versions. To confirm that the updater has run successfully, launch Photoshop and verify that the version number on the splash screen shows 9.0.2 and not 9.0 or 9.0.1. If it does not show 9.0.2, you may not have a retail version. Contact your local Adobe retailer or visit the Adobe website to purchase one. [alert admin]

iTunes Statistician 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
This is a great little application. If anything, it showed me my listening habits, and how much time I spend running iTunes instead of doing things I should be doing - lol. [alert admin]

PhotoRescue Expert 2.1.678 (Mac OS X)
Think my story is about the same as the others. This program recovered some priceless vacation photos. For those of you who are actually updating EXPERT, go to their site. If you download what's available here, you get just the demo. There's an update tab on that site, and you'll be asked to supply an order number and e-mail address. According to the site, WIZARD doesn't need to go through this procedure. [alert admin]

Discus 3.10 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
I noticed that too about the version number 3.9 in the Get Info, but the papers that they said were added are there. This has to be the best and easiest CD label making application out there. You get a lot for your bucks. [alert admin]

Have successfully installed 12.1.2, after totally re-installing Office 2008. If the language files seem to be the issue, where are they located? Might be an idea to save a copy of those files at another location. You could then delete the languages you don't need. If a future update has the same issue, you could copy back the complete language set, then update should run.

Congratulations on you successful installation of the updater. By any chance do you have any ideas why you were successful, and others have to start from scratch with the installation? Your OS version? Location of your Office folder? Your Mac?

I had same problem with this update, as I had with the previous. I also had to re-install from scratch. I have NEVER had this issue with any other updater. What has me extremely curious is what is it about the systems of those who had no problem updating? OS version? Type of Mac unit?

I am 100% in your corner in giving praise to this great utility. As one reviewer stated, 10.4 may have incorporated ABFRX's functions, but in the meantime those of use who haven't upgraded yet can enjoy this great utility.
