PithHelmet 2.8-79 (Mac OS X)
Compatibility with 10.4.11 & Safari 3.0?
Title says it all. Anyone have experience with this combination yet? Does the previous PH version for 10.4.10 & Safari 2.x work with Apple's updates? Jim [alert admin]

Acta Importer for Spotlight 1.1 (Mac OS X)
Our course Acta, which I loved, works only in Classic. So it's feels a bit weird to have a Spotlight importer for Intel Macs that can't run the program that created the file! [alert admin]

RecoverTrasher 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)
Since a search of Apple's support pages doesn't yield a result for "recovered files", can anyone say what these files are the result of, or what we can do with them (other than empty the trash)? [alert admin]

Just curious if this widget would find some common use or a specialized use. Jim [alert admin]

Adobe Reader 7.0.0 (Mac OS X)
Install Reader 7.0 with Pro 6?
Has anyone tried to install Reader 7.0 on top of a Pro 6 installation? Will both work, or do they share some components? Jim [alert admin]

ATI Radeon 9200 124 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Has anyone got information on whether the built-in ATI 9200 in various Apple computers should apply this fix. For example, what about the standard eMac? [alert admin]

Check Preference Files 1.6.6 (Mac OS X)
VERY useful! And I second rainer's suggestion and add another. When a user can't login, it would be handy to be able to check the prefs from another account. So how about allowing user to check all user accounts' prefs, after putting in username and password for sudo? [alert admin]

What nonsense. Next thing, you'll buy an iPhone and whine that Apple isn't supporting it well enough.

The one-touch button non-functionality is totally a Maxtor problem, NOT Retrospect. Maxtor seems to have a problem being clear about how to make this function.

I imagine this could be very useful for a small to medium size business, for the receptionist, for example, or a boss.

Ah, yes, Iomega's old FindIt! What a great program. Simple, with all the features needed for cataloging - perfectly simple and powerful. I wish someone would reproduce it for X.

I've been wondering if any of my menu bar add-ons might be causing this alarm malfunction... I use Youpi Key, wClock, AppleScript menu, and the Apple Keyboard menu. Anyone try to dump all their menu bar additions to see if that helps? Jim

Same exact thing for me. 5.1.1 seemed a bit better. I'm still going to wait for a "fix." I'm feeling a bit abused though, too. Jim
