Reason 4.0 (Mac OS X)
As a beta tester for Reason 4.0, I can now say after using the released version, that the best audio production/sequencing software just got even better. The new sequencer is outstanding, and the new additions to the rack are quite different and useful. Reason is revolutionary software, and any person at all involved with music production at any level should own a copy of it. Highly recommended. [alert admin]

Digidesign ProTools 7.3.1 (Mac OS X)
Definitely old news. Digidesign is already up to Pro Tools version 7.3.1cs4, which can be found here: http://digidesign.com/index.cfm?langid=100&navid=54&itemid=23300. Why versiontracker.com would be posting this in mid-August as a "new" update is a mystery to me, frankly. [alert admin]

Parallels Desktop 3.0 Build 4128.0 (Mac OS X)
Never have I regretted installing something as much as I regret installing Paralells on my computer. Ever since installing over my Boot Camp partition, I've had nothing but nightmares, compatibility-wise. Ended having to not only reinstall my Windows partion, but also my Mac OS as well because of the sheer amount of files and resources that were affected by the software. I can not in my good conscience recommend this software. [alert admin]

Apple Safari 3.0b (Mac OS X)
Installed over my current build of Safari seamlessly. Thus far, no issues, complications, or incompatibilities; it's been smooth sailing. Not all too much of a difference from my previous version, frankly. Maybe a bit faster, but nothing earth-shattering. [alert admin]

Apple iTunes 7.2 (Mac OS X)
So far, so good. No issues with the update itself, or with running the new version of iTunes. The addition of iTunes Plus, 'Complete My Album,' and iTunes U are all welcome updates that will undoubtedly prove useful. I'd be interested in hearing some feedback with regard to how much of a quality increase there is going from the standard $0.99 songs to the upgraded versions. [alert admin]

I can't find it either. I can find version 7.3, but not 7.4. Are we missing something?

As an owner of a commercial Pro Tools studio- yes. I use Pro Tools for audio recording, Digital Performer for MIDI sequencing, Logic for multimedia production, and I use Reason for most of my software synths. And I still maintain that Reason is the most revolutionary audio software I've ever used, and I've been using it since version 1. I'm sorry you didn't find my review helpful, but if I may be…
