Link Mapper 1.0 (Mac OS X)

An Excellent Utility

Link Mapper has turned out to be an excellent addition to my html toolbox. I was looking for a way to make a site map, when I ran across Link Mapper. I was so impressed with the demo, I bought it the same day. It only does one thing, but it does it well. However, I'm giving Link Mapper only 4 stars because of a problem that does not appear to be fixed yet. If you're creating a site map for the first time, you have to manually add the following code to your page in order for it to work properly: <!-- Start Link Mapper by matterform.com --> Once that's there, though, things work as they should. I'd like to see some formatting options for how the site map is displayed, i.e. indented links so that people can see at a glance where they are in the hierarchy. Also, a written doc would be nice, even though the program is simple to use. Telephone and e-mail support was very good. As of 10/10/05, it is on sale at $12.95, which I think is a good price. However, if and when it goes up to its normal price of $19.95, I hope that it adds more options for the output of the site map, otherwise it will be a little too expensive for what it does. I'm looking forward to the 1.x release, and I'll review it again to see if the problem I mentioned has been fixed. All in all though, an excellent little utility! I highly recommend it.
