Apple Safari 3.1.2.525.21 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
Love it still, but problems should be fixed.
Safari for Windows is still my favorite browser but I wish a couple of bugs could be fixed. 1.Safari has a very troublesome relationship with eBay: often cannot maintain connection to ebay server, especially if using back button or link in history list. Safari often does not recognize secure web page certificates. Either Safari knows something all of the other browers don't or there is some ongoing compatibility problem. 2. Safari requires a whole page to be completely loaded before it is possible to link away from currently loading page. For example, say you want to link to Apple support forums. You cannot simply click the Community link while the main page is loading. You have to wait until the page is completely loaded until the Community link is "live" [alert admin]

Apple iTunes 8.0.0.35 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
__This__ version has an encoding bug. Similar to early version of iTunes 7. AAC files exhibit numerous dropouts. Very disappointing. [alert admin]

Normally I would have waited for some reviews... iTunes 8 installs with no problems. I have not converted files/CDs yet. New iTunes Visualizer stresses system resources to the point of negatively effecting playback performance. Music stutters with new version. Classic visualizer is fine. Apple iTunes 7.6.1 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
I have used iTunes ever since it was Casady & Greene's SoundJam MP (retail). ITunes is one of the absolute best free applications around. I must say, however, that it is beginning to become a bit cumbersome and bureaucratic. iTunes 7.6.1 froze me out of my account until I updated to the latest iteration of 7.6.1xx..i.e. it forced the update... (perhaps there was some un-announced security vulnerability) Plus, I think about 50 percent of the time I have to re-agree to the Terms in order to spend money at the iTunes store. [alert admin]

Apple Safari 3.0.4 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
I still like Safari very much. However, I had a bit of a surprise while processessing a PayPal order...at the last click of the transaction the browser immediately quit with no alert...not nothin' ... the transaction page just disappeard. I could only proceed with IE 7 to process the transaction. Fortunately, the transaction only went through the one time (i.e. no dupicate order) but it was a bit nerve wracking [alert admin]

Apple Safari 3.0.4 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
While there seem to be a few mysterious issues causing occasional random crashes (beta, it still is), so far, this browser outshines Internet Explorer for my internet needs. It is fast, and it also has features and utilities that are easliy accessible. Safari is the smoothest Windows program I have ever used. [alert admin]

I realize this is a free program. In general it is a Fiver Star program to me and I would buy this software... especially if this would enhance proactive bug reduction on new versions. The lesson is not to forge ahead so quickly into the unknown...

I have to add that after clicking submit button I got a blank page alerting: "1194:Table 'stories' is marked as crashed and should be repaired" so we seem to still be a bit buggy...oops
