Tsunami 1.0 (Mac OS X)
God forbid anybody should want to actually know what's going on? I personally can't believe our media (US) is still talking about the Tsunami. Usually when it doesn't involve us, we forget about it in a week. Never forget! [alert admin]

Safer Workstation 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Your work Mac most likely has SSH login enabled, because you probably need it. Log in, kill the process for Safer Workstation, and you're good to go. Applications like this give a false sense of security, and should not be listed, let alone for sale. [alert admin]

X-Plane 7.62rc2 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
The reason listed below is not why BitTorrent performance is bad. It is bad because there aren't enough peers seeding the file after it finishes downloading. If you're only connected to 6 peers, that is a pretty weak network (Unless one of them has a DS-3 or similary uberfast connection). [alert admin]

If you have a laptop, you should be good to go. If you have a B/W G3 with an upgrade card, you should stop whining.

Limewire is just going to go the way of the APGulianos of the mac realm. Of course, trying to equate a software application to the idea of being horrifically annoying is difficult.

Eggplant is extraordinary software.

That isn't going to stop you downloading bogus files. The whole point of the RIAA subterfouge is that people download them, and most idiots don't delete the files they download, so they are shared.

Using adequate Macs/PowerBooks, VPC works fine
Here Here. People talk like Bill Gates is writing the Mac software. VPC is an excellent product, and the only decent solution there is (I'd like to see VMWare on the mac).
