E-Mail Commander 1.1.7 (Mac OS X)
Addressing the two previous reviews: the price of this product is commensurate with other bulk e-mailers. Also, it is the only non-Java e-mailer application of this type that runs natively on an Intel-based Mac at this time. There are legitimate reasons to do what the other poster claims is a pure spam technique. I teach on line mathematics courses for an accredited college and I could send my enrolled students each a different random exercise from a predetermined list of questions. I am sure there are merchants that have a legitimate database of customers that might also wish to send different information to their customers about randomly selected products. Having said this, the product itself has great flexibility with a not too steep learning curve. The documentation, while covering all the topics, is a little sketchy in some of the more exotic areas of the software. [alert admin]

iBiz 2.4 (Mac OS X)
Understandable that one product will not be all things to all people, but to criticize it because the developer does not respond to your suggestions or complaints or bug fixes does not necessarily make a product bad. Sure, this is not Microsoft or Apple, so we as users expect the developer to pay attention to us; but notice that this is essentially a one person show. There is an excellent on line discussion forum for the product that has helped me greatly with its use. Having said that, if you are looking for software to track time and charges to multiple clients at varying rates, print invoices and have options for different summaries of your work, then iBiz does it at a reasonable price. Invoices can be customized, although not necessarily in a completely intuitive way (i.e., read the documentation, browse the support forum). Stability is important where finances are involved and I have found iBiz to be extremely reliable. [alert admin]

DiscBlaze 4.3.1 (Mac OS X)
I have found the support, Bryan in particular, to be extremely good. I had a problem that was the result of bad Unicode in a file I was trying to burn with DiscBlaze and it felt has if Radical Breeze tech support had become my personal trouble shooter. The product is not Toast, and never claimed to be. It is a much better version, with more flexibility of Apple's burn utility (which can be cumbersome at times). [alert admin]

Epson TWAIN and Scan Utility 1.25A (Mac OS X)
Is it just me (OS 10.2.3, 1660 Photo, Photo Elements 2.0) but with this version of the scanner the option to save as a JPEG in Photo Elements is gone. Reverting back to the previous version of the TWAIN restores the JPEG option. Otherwise, everything does work as it should, alhtough there seem to be fewer scan options in general with this version. ForgotIt? X 1.3 (Mac OS X)
and reasonably priced for what it does. Previous versions have been very stable and bug free; even this beta seems to follow that path. [alert admin]

This problem occurred in 9.0.1. Symantec posted a fix as follows: Open Terminal from your Utilities folder. Type this text (watch the space after "touch")-- sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions Enter your admin. password when asked and press Return. Quit Terminal. Restart your computer. It worked for 9.0.1 with no difficulties.
