Trash old prefs before upgrading . . . .
This new app (SWF & FLV Player) was crashing on start every time. I trashed the preferences file, which had been created originally by the old app (SWF Movie Player), and then the new app would start up without crashing. [alert admin]

SWF Movie Player 1.3 (Mac OS X)
The volume slider ties into system volume, instead of only affecting SWF-MP. This is... BAD PROGRAMMING PRACTICE!!! Give the app its own independent volume control, or don't give it a volume slider at all. The system volume should never be affected by an app's volume controls. [alert admin]

Puzzles Forever 1.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Solitaire Forever 1.1.2 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
I love it. The graphics are great, the selection of games is huge, and the options are complete. This is the best. And the developer is responsive to feedback. A+ [alert admin]

This 0.0.1 update is bad . . .
It broke the game. Launching the app brings up an error message about ghost_starts.snd and a game can't be played. [alert admin]

Allenroids 1.2 (Mac OS X)
The shield engages automatically when needed, unlike in other Asteroid games where you have to remember to hit the shield button. Reverse thrust is nice too...some games don't have it. All in all, a great free Asteroids game. Asteroid Storm or Argonaut is better if you don't like the window wraparound gameplay style. [alert admin]
