AirTrafficControl 2.0.1b400 (Mac OS X)
Funny new interface, but for some reason this new version is not working for me. It freezes showing "is currently loading...". Good widget anyway, I come back to the old version. PB G4 12" OS X.4.9 [alert admin]

iScroll2 0.25e (Mac OS X)
Very good piece of software! It does exactly what one expect. Maybe, I'd like to have more space to the scroll speed (I set it at one less maximum), but it works well. I had to roll back to 0.25, because 0.26 for me it's not usable (too much speed even at the lowest level). [alert admin]

Free Focused Scroll 0.7 (Mac OS X)
I tried this FFS, but I had to come back to iScroll2, which I've been using for months. I found no way to activate the double finger scrolling (I set the same levels as iScroll2); also no possibility to activate anything as scroll wheel, corner tap,... I click on "new" but nothing happens. Moreover the click is ...random! Sometimes the tap is recognized, some other not and sometime a click is sent even if I didn't click at all! I think this is a good try, but for me it's unusable. I will wait for another version. (PB G4 1GHz 12", OS X.4.8) [alert admin]

Taco HTML Edit 1.7.2 (Mac OS X)
Only thing I'd like to see are: - a "Save All" button - CSS coloring In this version I see a strange bug when resizing frames in the preview (all characters turn to japanize!). For some reason, I verified that the CSS is built with a combination of line feed, carriage return: this looks strange when viewed in another editor... Anyway, TACO remains one of the best HTML editor and it's free! [alert admin]

pagesender 3.5.4 (Mac OS X)
I tried this version for one afternoon, as the OS X tool didn't want to work for a certain fax (with other, it works...). I see enthusiastic comments, but... I cannot go with them! I have OS X 10.4.7 nearly clean (I don't need something like kernel extensions, only the iScroll for the trackpad), on a PB 12" 1GHz. The installation was smooth but with different windows as those explained on their web site. At the end of it, it opens many windows on the installation one ("select the new printer") and I have to navigate among windows to tell the installation module to go away. In the meantime, another window, over the Printer utility one, asks me to choose Demo or Pay. Ok, demo. After that, I was unable to find the PageSender printer. Ok, I closed the printer utility and restart it. At the end: to find this printer I had to tell the software to look within the AppleTalk printers: I don't have AT active, but I found PageSender there. I finally selected it and I verified that the new printer appears in the print dialog. Gone to the Preview app, choose Print, selected Pagesender. Immediately the AddressBook started (no use, I had just a number, not an entry in my AddressBook) and stayed open all the time. I try to insert the fax number but I was unable to cancel another number (internal number?) The only way was to put a space in it (just deleting, it reappears immediately). At last, I click Fax. Two (said two!) applications started: pagesender and PageSender Fax Center (this latter has a nice interface). The line was never engaged, the fax was reported as Failed. I verified the connections, all is ok. I repeat the story again, now it said "waiting for modem, go to System Pref to activate the modem" (it was already active, I sent a fax with OS X to another number and it was ok). After other two or three tries, i decided this is not the software for me: I only obtained a preview out of it. The instructions said: to uninstall, start the installer and when it asks you to decide to pay or demo, click demo and then uninstall. This uninstall button was... nowhere in that window and in any others (I tried twice). Using spotlight, I found a pagesender install log and deleted manually all the files (I hope). Now, the OSX fax tool was unable to recover even using the web interface to CUPS; I had to restart my PB, a rare event. Maybe I did something wrong, but I use Mac since 1987, have some experience on that. The installation process is strange and probably not right, I wasn't unable to send my fax, the unistallation doesn't exist, it left my fax system hanging... I cannot be happy with this. I prefer not to rate it, giving it a possibility. [alert admin]

And it comes also with a user manual: it doesn't happen so often with a freeware for Palm! No problems with my T5 and OS 5.4 [alert admin]

CamiTools 4.3 (Mac OS X)
...because the new preferences can't be found after Camino is restarted. I tried the automatic installer and also the manual procedure. Read the FAQ but I don't found anything about that (or I didn't find it!). Camino 1.0; OSX X.4.4 [alert admin]

myVCR 0.1.2 (Mac OS X)
I tried to use this to avoid the tricky software of EskapeLab to record, but it was not able even to start: it crashes at start. A window appears for 1 second and then the app crashes. Maybe bacause myTV is USB based? Anyway I'd like to see an alert, not just a crash! I cannot rate it. PB 12" 1GHz OSX.4.4 [alert admin]

Eskape MyTV X 3.6.1 (Mac OS X)
This a better release vs the older one, it is more stable and some functions have been corrected and some added. Bugs: 1. The new "programmed recording function" is not useful: it starts at the right time, but it doesn't stop! It goes over the stop time by recording little pieces of 1 second, until the program is deleted! Not so useful if you are not at your desk! 2. some channels are missing in the UHF band: they stop at ch.12, while in some countries channel until 20 are used. Where are they? 3. There is again no possibility to call a channel by name rather than by channel number, even if the channel name is displayed in the command area. I'm waiting for a quick bug fix. For the rest, the product is a good step ahead. The whole system is cheap. [alert admin]

Sorry, I'm not sure to understand: the calculation inside the widget are made in meters. I didn't insert "foot" as possible unit (do you think it could be useful?); which unit did you used to obtain what you say? I see that the correct value is around 1120 feet/second, depending on the temperature, that is not so far from 1000: maybe I've made some unnecessary rounding and I have to retain more decimal digits. I can only…
