Parallels Desktop 3.0 Build 5608.0 (Mac OS X)

update system seems to have some real issues why not update that?

After 4 efforts over various weeks to update using the menu... it always downloads an image and then says the image is defective and freezes the whole program... then through the whole web page sign in thing to do it all over again and find the same issues. Hey, the reason i own a MAC is all the time i save, you appear to be wasting a lot of our time with this defective update system, and defective dmgs. Please fix this, thanks. [alert admin]

Adobe Flash Player 9.0.47.0 (Mac OS X)

Is Adobe for Real with Flash

How about 3 hours later trying to install Flash on a new Mac Book? Repairing permissions, creating a new test user to try to install, downloading the uninstaller from Adobe... yes there is a Mac uninstaller who would have thot? i have used macs for over 20 years... i have tried the sudo. install Flash etc... so how long should i try to spend installing a program on my mac... this is not normal. This is not Adobe... so what has happened since they bought Flash... i still get a error creating file after the installer is down to only two left --- Error creating file. 1008:5,-5000 Access denied error This is the most pathetic experience i have ever had on any Mac and this is what i do every day as a Consultant... soooooo the whole reason for buying macs is the time factor which no one ever seems to deal with. "Money comes and goes, time just goes!" © is what i have told people for years. all my hundreds of reasons for owning a mac are related to time... But ADOBE get your act together - is is most unadobe like and most unMAC like... until this is fixed i cannot give you any report - let alone a good report. thanks, Ian [alert admin]

Microsoft PST Import 1.0.0 (Mac OS X)

Will not work with PC PST files

To save you hours of frustration do not use this tool to work with PST files from the windoze OS only with OUtlook Mac and don't bother downloading that from the unmactopia web site because it only works on pre INtel Macs. To answer the person who says Mac users whine below... no we are simply used to simplicity and to truth... when a program has a suffix you would think a pst is a pst file.. no like most of Microsofts products down through the years you think you are dealing with one thing when reality is quite another. I thought i was buying a tested and useful and secure OS... NO you didn't you bought a product with thousands of flaws... so bad that people hate it and it needs fixes constantly vs an OS on Apple that gets features each week and a few security updates. Who wants stuff that you find on the dark side? you can have it. you need to take your OUtook from the pc side and transfer it into Thunderbird then bring it to the Mac and rename each file with a .mbox then import them into apple mail or only recently will Entourage allow you to import Mbox files... go figure microsoft to MacroHard. cheers.... if you use a mac. LimeWire X 4.12.6 (Mac OS X)

LImewire has become full of Porn, crap and corruption.

Many of my clients who have used this since the beginning have reported how this product has gone seriously downhill. While no one wants censorship, it is apparent that unscrupulous people have infiltrated this great concept and corrupted and contaminated many files. ON the Windoze side this is overly clear, on the Mac less so. But there remains a chance for the programmers to add a report spam, or unwanted porn or corrupt files by having a report button on the bottom or someway of flagging the pure garbage that is being found. I can not reccomend this product until there is some way to flag files that are not what they claim to be. Thanks. Lets raise the level of life in our countries and encourage inspiration not degeneration! [alert admin]

StuffIt Expander 10.1.0b1 (Mac OS X)

Stuffit has been a great Mac Tool saving Millions - time & Money

I have used Stuffit on my own Macs since the very beginning, and on all my customers macs, imacs, towers, macbooks etc etc... I can't remember any problem I have ever had other than forgetting to uninstall a really old system 9 version... it hasa been a faithful and useful product for companies, servers, IP providers and all of us trying to keep our time wasted to a minimum and that is why all of us bought a Mac in the first place, it is not just fun, but who would want to waste time with a Windoze OS anyway???? they are sucking the life out of our economies and our families... GET a Mac! Use Stuffit! And thanks to all those who over the years have made Stuffit and Mac products like this that save us all time! Life is short, money comes and goes, time just goes© IGM [alert admin]

Scroll Switcher 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)

This is a great timesaver

I have the utmost respect for folks who try to do things to save us all time. i have said for years, money comes and goes but time just goes... therefore i honor those who make software like this who save us keystrokes and thus time. After all this is why we bought a Mac in the first place. i have installed this tiny tweak on over one hundred macs and all my clients have thanked me. i think it is excellent and i have no trouble reccomending it... sometimes it has failed to install and i wish there was a newer version. But I want to thank the author for making time to help us all, May those like you multiply! [alert admin]

Microsoft Office 2004 11.1.0 (Mac OS X)

NOT so HOT email in Entourage

Those using MS If fuss Entourage who also have a Hotmail account coming in there, as well as your normal email Will have, may have, no doubt have, noticed that the very poor and suffering Macrohard corporation is now charging $20 dollars to allow you to use Hotmail with Entourage – forcing us to go to the browser to pick up mail again... Like why did we all buy Microsoft office in the first place for such an exorbitant fee? Not so HOT Mail any more... Ouch ... One would like to give a good report of this corporation... But they go out of their way to undercut those of us who want to believe in them the way we do APPLE. This is one company i have found and most of my clients over 18 years, that there is no one listening over there even if you actually get someone on the phone... and they certainly don't read the reviews and comments about their product. Or they would give less to charities and truly give more to those who enrich their company buy hoping this next release will fix all the issues with the last one. [alert admin]

Why did we pay for this product in the first place?

those of us who use Macrohard products are used to this kind of treatment to semi-loyal customers.... but really we have endured a buggy version of this product for three years with OS X then we upgrade to Office 2004 and hope to find things like having to wait for ages for the font list to pop up whether you have 5 fonts or more it makes no difference and we wonder why they call it a major upgrade... now this week they want to charge those of us who bought entourage another 20 dollars for using Hotmail... Lets just use yahoo mail or something else and leave Macrohard to get harder and harder until they crack in their extreme brittleness and fragility... One really wishes to give a good review and a good report about Microsoft... but they don't listen, now for years and seem to care little about correcting this image... those using Entourage who also have a hotmail account coming in there as well as your normal email Pity the very poor and suffering Macrohard corporation is now charging 20 dollars to allow you to use hotmail with Entourage – forcing us to go to the browser to pick up mail again... Like why did we all buy Microsoft office in the first place for such an exorbitant fee? Instead of giving huge gifts of money to charities - how about putting out cheaper software that works and has value? The world will thank-you for your good software and your true goodness not apparent charity. [alert admin]

Microsoft Office v.X 10.1.6 (Mac OS X)

Easily 60% of my Mac Work comes courtesy of Microsoft bugs, Thanks Bill

I have found that many of my clients cannot open Powerpoint files after installing the 10.1.6 upgrade - which was appreciated in that it finally seemed to be a combo upgrade instead of the ridiculous installs previously which required you to do 1.2, 1.3., 1.4 etc... BUT lo and Behold if after installing your Presentations don't open and you are in front of a group and ... well... how often has Microsoft done this... one asks himself... do i reinstall the OS.? Do i reinstall Office? so hours later the user or tech guy as usual, and i have seen this for years... finds out - it is INDEED a Microsoft problem... How many keystrokes has Microsoft cost us all? They are sucking the life out of our economy with Windows and now more and more on the MAC, Please when will quality control become an issue instead of Philanthropy on our backs? User beware.
