Windows Media Player 9.0 (Mac OS X)
For some odd reason WMP suddenly stops working in my browsers every few months. A whole uninstall/reinstall of the app becomes necessary just to make it work again. Not only that but the buffering is terrible, because while a Quicktime stream and even a Real stream plays smoothly, every WMV stream has to rebuffer at least twice. To top it off, it can't even attempt to play half of the WMV files out there. Truly a junk product. [alert admin]

ecto 2.3.4 (Mac OS X)
I switched from LiveJournal to my own server running Wordpress, and was greatly missing XJournal, which had a great interface, was very simple, and allowed me to post to my blog without opening the blog admin panel in Safari. Then I found ecto. The same simplicity and great interface, but with Wordpress support. A dream come true. Thank you. [alert admin]

Keyspan Digital Media Remote 1.7b4 (Mac OS X)
Volume control is now definitely back to normal, and everything else seems to be working fine. It took way too long to fix, but at least they did it. [alert admin]

Amake... thank you. Now at least they publicly admit to the problem... let's see where this leads to. [alert admin]

This company deserves to be the target of a 1-megaton Mark 53 thermonuclear warhead, dropped from a lawn chair held aloft by weather balloons 16000 feet above Los Angeles, and run over by a Hummer returning from a $1000 Costco shopping spree. (Courtesy of MacAddict, May 2004) Why? They... 1. Make a great product. 2. Render product useless with firmware patch. 3. Don't look into the problem for months. 4. Ignore numerous, constant emails and calls from customers concerning the problem. 5. Piss me off. This company is a nice, red, juicy apple from the outside, but worm-infested and rotten at the core. I ask you this: Can I launch a lawsuit against these people? [alert admin]

donelson: If you bother to check a few comments down, there is a clear-cut method of making PithHelmet work with future Safari updates. wizzart: Such a feature is and has been available since long ago. Check your facts before you think of posting.

The Eyehome already has component out. Although it doesn't support H.264, any HD quality material in .mov or another plays crystal clear through the component out ports - I use it.
