OpenOffice.org 2.3.1 (Mac OS X)
Download link on their site still version 2.3.0.
As mentioned, there is no version 2.3.1 available to download on their site. [alert admin]

VLC media player 0.8.6d (Mac OS X)
Confirmed video output bug for this version.
In reference to the comment below, other users have found this bug and reported it in the VLC forums - the previous version of VLC (0.8.6c) available on the VLC website does not have this bug. [alert admin]

VLC still exhibits dud output on external video devices - despite selecting 'video device 2' it carries on displaying on the main display. It is the only video player on the Mac that does this - all the others (MPlayer etc) work correctly in this respect. [alert admin]

I haven't used it; from reading comments do not download
I was looking for a screen capture utility and came across this page. From the comments below (and the developer's admittance) I would strongly suggest any users considering this application to look elsewhere. I am saying this because any good mathematician will tell you that even as a legitimate user there is a probability of mistyping the serial number which then will be considered a 'pirate' by this program and have your files deleted. This type of policy is treating everyone like a criminal and in some countries it actually breaks the law by its actions. VT should remove it. [alert admin]

Noble Ape Simulation 0.683 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
But what is the difference between this app and Apple's device driver development team? [alert admin]

The Music N*** 1.4 (Mac OS X)
This app is a great opportunity to let others feel all righteous - I agree with people below - let's also ban all comedy that makes fun of subjects like these. Let's go to Mel Brook's house and picket him. We don't need free speech anyway! This app works wonderfully, and I also like the response it has provoked from the brow-beaters that lack any sense of humour. Huzzah! [alert admin]

iTuneSleep 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Note the coments are for the beta version.
The beta version expires and then comes up with a dialog box saying 'purchase or quit', with no option to uninstall the app or the daemon. So basically we beta tested for free a commercial app. It's a nice application, but I don't tolerate this way of development anymore. [alert admin]

Yes, this dies on launch, doesn't even get to the login screen (I'm running MacOSX 10.4.6) - amazing their QA is so pisspoor. For those that torched their previous Skype, here's a link to the last known working version: http://download.skype.com/macosx/Skype_1.4.0.35.dmg [alert admin]

And I have had family killed in the Spanish Civil war but that hasn't killed my sense of humour either - different people react in different ways and I'm not going to let that experience deny others their freedom to express themselves. If we carry on like this, everyone in the world will have some excuse to restrict someone else - and welcome to 1984's NewSpeak.

I don't use this GUI program - well, not since it nuked my settings several times across several versions - it is quite poor on maintaining current configurations. I use the command line to configure pureftpd and compile it from source. The pureftpd daemon *does not* phone home. For those seeing the connection from this program, make sure of what you are observing. If it is 'PureFTPd Manager' phoning home, then it's a…

Have you upgraded your OS from 10.2 to 10.3, rather than a fresh install of 10.3? OSX has serious issues when upgrading from 10.2 to Panther.
