OK, another minor update uploaded. This one adds an extra option which allows you to enable/disable sounds in various cominations, so you can specifically disable announcer sounds if they are annoying you :-). Bug fix:

That bug is consistent with a missing preferences or level file. I have uploaded a version which will tolerate a missing preferences file and report errors more accurately for a missing level file. Apologies for any problems. [alert admin]

The level editor was removed due to its brokenness. If there is demand for it I may put it back in.

Thanks for reporting this. That error is consistent with the level.def or prefs.def file being missing. I'll upload a minor update that will give more meaningful warning on a missing level file, and which will ignore a missing preferences file (using hardcoded default preferences). By the time this comment is live, the updated version will be available at the normal download link.
