SuperSync 3.0.3 (Mac OS X)

Happy to Update Previous Comments

Version 3.0.3 seems to work like a charm on my system now so I was happy to buy a 5 user license. This is a remarkable program and I encourage people to try a demo. I don’t know what the problems were with the previous version I tried but this version rocks. [alert admin]

VersionTracker Pro 4.5 (Mac OS X)

This crashes constantly

I actually tried to use the newer beta version of 1/22/08 and it crashes too. I guess I won't be renewing my membership in 6 days time. [alert admin]

Leap 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Is it me?

Is it me or is this utility a tad on the pricy side. I would gladly pay half this amount but given the cost compared to other programs and to Leopard itself this seems a bit over priced. Just my 2 cents. [alert admin]

Speed Download 5.0 (Mac OS X)

Thanks to AppZapper I got rid of this crap!

Talk about sleazy upgrade policies for people who bought the MacHeist bundle. I have joined the boycott of Yazsoft and I invite others to join me. [alert admin]

Cover Stream 1.2 (Mac OS X)

Fantastic!

Another one of those “why didn’t Apple do this?” apps. Gotta love it! It just keeps getting better and better. [alert admin]

Parallels Desktop 3.0 Build 4124.0 (Mac OS X)

Caveat emptor Parallels

When I bought v2 in December of '07 I received an email from Parallels which stated, "This copy includes free Upgrade Protection for one year following the date of purchase, which entitles you to receive all major upgrades released during that timeframe at no additional cost. When a new major version is released, you will receive an email to the address you used to register the product that includes instructions on how to download and install the new version, and a permanent activation key that is compatible with the new version." Parallels has not sent me a free upgrade to v3 even though it has been released. Other customers are getting upset at their lack of a free upgrade. Please see An Open Letter to SWsoft Regarding Parallels at http://www.postal-code.com/binarycode/2007/06/08/an-open-letter-to-swsoft-regarding-parallels/ Caveat emptor indeed. [alert admin]

1Passwd 1.5.3280 (Mac OS X)

What a time saver!

This is truly one of the greatest utilities of all time. It works so seamlessly with Apple's Keychain making it a really useful tool. The AutoFill ability is awesome in the scope of fields that you can configure. The phishing protection is one of those things I didn't appreciate until I started using !Passwrd. I recommend anyone watch the movie on the phishing protection that is on the developer's home page. Many utilities are nifty but can be difficult to learn so the value is rarely what you thought it would be when you bought it. 1Passwd's developers have created a terrific movie, again on their home page, that clearly explains the way the program works. I wish more developers took this approach as I found it much faster than using a manual. It further reinforces the concept that 1Passwrd will save you time from the get go. I can't praise the developers enough. 1Passwd is a 5 Star winner! [alert admin]

Caveat emptor Parallels

I did get an email with a free s/n for v3 on Wednesday 13 June so perhaps one simply needs to be very patient when dealing with these folks.
