Does what it says, small, easy and free. Thanks for the developer for making this app. [alert admin]

CDFinder 5.0 (Mac OS X)
Best spent shareware fee ever ...
(except the one spent on GraphicConverter). I registered version 3.something several years back and my key is still working. Great! I don't use this program on a regular basis, but when I need it, it is there - finding everything I want in seconds. [alert admin]

Parallels Desktop 2.5 Build 3036.0 (Mac OS X)
Coherence mode is a KILLER alone. You have to see it to believe it. And the effects are a very nice touch. Spectacular update. Herwig [alert admin]

Using ot for ages ... and still found nothing better. I almost feared the day that Thoth would stop working. Great to see this program again in development! [alert admin]

GraphicConverter X 5.8 (Mac OS X)
Unfortunately 5.8 is MUCH slower in browser view!
Tried it and immediately switched back to 5.7.5. The display of the picture in browser view is significantly slower than in the previous version. Sad because I liked the shadows bedind the thumbs (which are not the cause for the slowdown). Hope this will be fixed in the next revision. [alert admin]

Image-Puzzle 1.2 (Mac OS X)
but horribly slow on my Mini 1.42GHz. So slow that it becomes terrible to watch. And it consumes ALL the CPU power which brings the fan to full immediately. Third, I don't use iPhoto, all my pictures are simply files in a folder (with subfolders). So nothing for me, sorry. [alert admin]

remove all the crap you installed as safari plugins in /Library/Internet Plug-Ins. Then Safari will work again.

Have to correct myself a little bit. The UNIVERSAL BINARY version is MUCH slower on PPC. The non-universal version ist fast as ever. As a result, only use the Universal version if you indeed have an intel Mac. Otherwise, stick with the non universal version.

You either don't know what you are talking about or just trolling around. Of course does Safari know about CSS (BETTER than IE!), knows about the latest HTML 4.01 standard and XHMTL 1.1 and it does not consume ressources more excessivley than other browsers. Blame Flash if flash animations are CPU hogs but not Safari. This is a problem on all Mac browsers. That does not mean that Safari couldn't be improved but out of 3 (Safari,…

Why? Cocoa is not better than carbon. It is just a different API. Cocoa can do some things which carbon can't and vice versa. Fact is that you won't notive the difference between cocoa and carbon apps ... mostly because many apps use _both_. Get away from the myth that making an app cocoa makes it a better app.

"how much work"? Sorry, an experienced programmer can write this in less than one day. It would take me probably around one and a half.<p> Simply compare this to the effort made by the people who wrote flac and get nothing. Or compare it to other shareware which also costs $10, e.g. Clicker. What a difference.<p> Maybe $2 would be ok, but even better would be to make it freeware.<p> I appreciate people writing software for the Mac.…
