This is a solid component . . .

and the included universe of presets covers nearly every combination of quality/size/frame rate - If it doesn't you are free to customize till you find the perfect balance. Exporting from iMovie yielded results that exceeded my expectations - Exporting a QuickTime MOV movie to WMV came in a little under expecations, but since I've only been using it for an hour, maybe I need to play with the settings a little bit. While it isn't free (like Real/Helix Producer for Real media), It's well worth the price to be able to offer MWV to media to those who want/need it. It also underscores what a bargain QuickTime Pro is at the same price! [alert admin]

Fax Status 0.3 (Mac OS X)

Not Working

Does not work with Pismo or 1GHz 17" iMac. Also, it seems to mess up permissions in the applications and network folders. Be sure to repair permissions after installing. [alert admin]

What's new . . .

I believe the major differences are the instructions contained in the Finder window and the addition of 87.7 as an available frequency. [alert admin]

CD Update Error . . .

I received the same "Media not the right type" error that others have received. But it worked on the fourth attempt. I am using Fuji 700MB CDs. I noticed that the image emulates a 650 MB CD - Maybe that makes a difference (?). [alert admin]

Still a Windows app...

I believe they list your scanners as Windows only . . . thanks for ruining the star rating for everyone else.

Useless for large clips.

I've used this for two different clips that were 11:00 and 9:15 and have had no problem. The only issue I've run into is when I have tried to convert a QuickTime slide show with transitions and tween tracks - such as those created by Talaphoto. The resulting wmv file will play fine in MacOS but is not recognized by Media Player in Windows.
