Saft 8.2.8 (Mac OS X)
Re: Will Saft ever be a normal piece of software?
Not sure what you mean by "normal", but Saft is a "plugin" of Safari (which does not have a plugin API), so it's not a normal application. But sure there are many things in Saft that can be improved - I have a big TODO list, and you can send your requests to me too. One thing though, if you think Saft makes your system crash, then it's hard for me to believe it, since Safari+Saft is just a user space application, it can NOT crash MacOSX, unless that there are some things wrong in the system (and Saft just trigger it). Saft 8.2.1 (Mac OS X)
You just do not understand that Saft is not an application, it's a patch to Safari, for every version of Safari Saft needs to be fixed and verified to work with it. That's why you need to get a new Saft for a new Safair. [alert admin]

Saft 8.0.1 (Mac OS X)
There was a logic error in Saft 8.0.1 build older than 375, about blocking Dashboard widgets auto-install. Please check your Saft version and make sure it is Version 8.0.1 (375). [alert admin]

Saft 7.5.1 (Mac OS X)
Crash is due to PithHelmet and Saft 7.5.1
Pathes for ISN detection just does not work together with PithHelmet. So you cannot have both installed. [alert admin]

Re. "Workaround for click-through bug in WebKit?"
Just tested it myself and it works well using the test page at: http://haoli.dnsalias.com/Saft/Misc/Test/ClickThrough/Page1/ Anyone can verify this problem? [alert admin]

Saft 7.3.0 (Mac OS X)
Re: Re: upgrade frustration again ! mpieki51
For minor Safari updates, "Try Anyway" may just work. But for major Safari release, this will just crash it - still remember the time when Saft did not have this disabling feature and it crashed Safari? "Try Anyway" button is from SaftLoader, it is the part of Saft that will always be loaded in all processes (not just Safari). I have to limit the complicity of this part by not adding things like auto install, even GUI like "Try Anyway" button should not be there - you will notice of two Help menu in Safari when you click it too slow. I do care about users, otherwise 7.3.0 would not be out in few hours after the latest security update last Friday when I got tons of other things to do. And I only say I cannot do anything about SPEEDDOWNLOAD, it's NOT my product, I try to help by pointing out the problem, but I cannot solve it for you. Other problems like logins, I do answer emails as soon as I can. For people that complain here and do not contact me, I have no way to help except to point out the general problems. [alert admin]

Saft 7.3.0 (Mac OS X)
I did not say all download problems is due to SpeedDownload. If you have not SpeedDownload and can login but cannot download, just info me so I can help you trace it and maybe solve it. The next big problem with download is login. If you cannot remember your email, your eSellerate order number or PalPay transaction ID, email me so I help you out. And what easier way can you suggest for distributing new releases? [alert admin]

New "submit shortcut" feature?
This feature is related to Saft shortcuts that you add from the contextual menu of an input field. Then when you use it, Saft will go to that page, fill in the input fields and submit the form for you. The difference is that in older version, Saft do a direct form submit, and with this new feature, Saft will try to find a submit button first - if found, it will submit the form by…

Autofill? If you have this enabled in Safari, you do not need to remember the transaction ID, Safari will do that for you, then the download is just two clicks away: 1: one for the bookmark, and one for the download button.
