Opera 10.0 beta 1 (Mac OS X)

Fast!

Not bad UI. Lots of features. And it's wicked fast, must more than FF 3.5b4 or Safari 4.0b1. [alert admin]

SafariStand 3.1L162 (Mac OS X)

L162 works fine with Safari 4.0 public beta 1

At least for me. It's the only add-on I have, and works fine. [alert admin]

Camino 1.6.4 (Mac OS X)

Not as good as it used to be

Sorry, but it's not as fast as the latest WebKit builds. Used to be special, but IMO Safari and FF have passed it by. [alert admin]

CocoaKuler 1.0b1 (Mac OS X)

Would love to see a Tiger version

This would be very helpful, but at work we have not upgraded to Leopard and might not for quite a while. [alert admin]

Safari Tidy plugin 0.2.4 (Mac OS X)

Breaks SafariSource plugin

When I installed this today, the source window was no longer using the font and colors I had defined in SafariSource (another SIMBL plugin), it was back to the horrid Safari default. Removing this restored the functionality of SafariSource. [alert admin]

DropImageURL 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)

Not very useful

First of all, it's donation NAGWARE -- you are presented with a dialog that you must wait to dismiss whenever you use it. Second of all, you need to save a webloc to the desktop first, like by dragging the blue sphere from Safari, THEN drag that to the app icon. Third, the icon is kind of hard to hit for a droplet... it is small, with a lot of mask. Would be better if it was in a square. Fourth, it took several MINUTES for the screenshot I took of this page in Versiontracker to appear on the desktop. Seriously, I thought the thing didn't work , since there is no UI or progress indicator. It finally appeared minutes later. YMMV. I see not reason to use this, much less donate for it when other alternatives like Paparazzi exist and have more features and a real UI. [alert admin]

Poser 6.0.1.77 (Mac OS X)

Unusably slow rendering

I have to agree with other posters that this app is virtual useless for production work. The renderer is unbearably slow, especially for lights with shadows. And although they keep updating the hair and cloth capabilties, the rendering with hair is EVEN SLOWER. Fortunately, 6.0 includes figures with trans-mapped (textured) hair. There is still no other app like Poser, to easily create realistic people and pose them for use in your 3D scenes. However, the best thing you can do is create, dress, and pose your figure and bring it into another app (it's well-integrated with Carrara, but exports to most apps) for rendering. And note this workflow is best suited for still images, although some apps (e.g. Carrara) allow for animated figure imports. Just don't think you can do animations within Poser, especially not with hair or other dynamics. And I'm using a dual G5 2Ghz with plenty of RAM, so it's not that I'm on a low-end Mac. [alert admin]

Mozilla Firefox 0.9.3 (Mac OS X)

Works OK so far

But I don't see any new navigation icons... they're the same as in 0.9.2 I wish the themes provided worked on the Mac, but every one I've tried there are no scrollbars. And all the documentation and forums is extremely windows-oriented (or perhaps I should say x86 oriented?) so there's not much Mac support. That being said, it's fairly quick and accurate. The adblock extension rocks. [alert admin]

miniTunes 6b (Mac OS X)

Doesn't work for me

I tried it, but after entering preferences, no window appeared. Choosing the "mini window" from the window menu gave me an AppleScript Error: NSReceiverEvaluationScriptError: 4 (1) This is on 10.3.4, if it matters any. Oh, although labeled freeware, it nags you for $5 at quit. I also am confused about the purpose of this app; if I'm going to keep a floating window open, why not just use iTunes or Audion? If I wanr something always available, I'd probably use Synergy. [alert admin]

Toolbar buttons don't work with 10.5.4 and Safari 3.12

I don't know what you're talking about, I used SS in Leopard with every iteration of Safari 3, including WebKit nightlies and my "new tab" button worked perfectly.

Not as good as it used to be

True, I was kind of rating the documentation more than the support. The support has always been outstanding. My apologies.

Fantastic addition

Actually, it seems the crash I experienced was theme-specific. It doesn't happen with the "new" themes but happened with Rhapsodized and QNX.
