iStumbler 98 (Mac OS X)
Works, but increases my laptop's temperature by almost 20 C to almost 70 C. Quit the app, and within 5 minutes I'm back to 45 C - 50 C. [alert admin]

CPU Speed Menu 1.2 (Mac OS X)
It would be amazing if we could tell CPU Speed Menu to use the lowest speed while we're asleep at a set time and then turn back on at a set time in the morning to the highest speed. I have to keep my machine running 24/7. [alert admin]

Adobe Creative Suite 3.0 (Mac OS X)
Joy. So I tried the selector on the Adobe site. Checked the absolute basics to my business: Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver. Don't need InDesign (I still prefer QXP). Don't need anything else. The little Flash animation does its thing, and out pops "We recommend The Master Edition. $2500 US. The top package. Joy. [alert admin]

Email Backup 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Fab! Nicely done. Needs a Backup Now button, and visual feedback is all. Also not sure if it will run without it being booted. Still chugging while I write this. So far so good. [alert admin]

Microsoft Office 2004 11.2.6 (Mac OS X)
How is it that MS Office is the only app (that I'm aware of) on the Mac that even comes close to needing an update that "fixes vulnerabilities...that an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of your computer's memory with malicious code." Do they really care anymore? [alert admin]

Wired Client 1.3.1 (Mac OS X)
Four of us, all having problems on various hardware, all using Tiger, all having to boot Wired at least 3 times before it stays open. For me, sometimes it won't even boot. [alert admin]
