Symantec NAV/SAV virus def Aug 8 (Mac OS X)

People are still using this....'pointlessware'?!

In the past 15 years, I dont I think ive heard of 2 ANYTHINGS out in the wild for Macs to really worry about-a few proof-of-concept-(ie: THEORETICAL) which are patched even as someone in the next room is building it for test purposes... It costs money, is ablsolutely useless-thought Symantec will create 'Terrorist' Alert scare every so often to drum up patriotism-er...SALES This really weighs down your computer and causes problems. I got rid of mine 10 years ago-and not a molocule of a virus trojan bug etc or problems of any sort. - [alert admin]

Everybody wants Tiger back

I agree out of the 15 Mac users I know only 4 are super happy, the rest are in the from "OK-to sh*t" category Ive gone back to Tiger twice-lets see if 10.5.5 is more garbage-or finally how it should have been. Anyone whose reads all the boards knows that Leopard is a big disappointment-APPLE really dropped the ball. Lets hope SNOW LEOPARD gets rid of some of the stupid useless apps and eyecandy (the side bar on…

Apple HP Printer Driver

stick with v 9.7 from 10/2007 @ 172mb works fine on my OJ 5610 on the HP site This one must be loaded with every driver HP has put out since 1965-not good remember SIMPLIFY IF you dare go in and look youll see drivers, icons, xml and icc profiles for a thousand models in v.97 this is bloatware- if out of probably 3000 drivers-you only need only the root engine-and the one driver for your model-then this is 390mb…
