Google Earth 5.1.3506.3999 (Mac OS X)
Google Earth is an absolutely wonderful, essential tool which is supplied for free. It works great. How could anyone complain about this? [alert admin]

Deja Vu 3.6 (Mac OS X)
I've used Deja Vu happily for years. Installed the 3.6 update on my Snow Leopard system, and it crashes System Preferences, every time I try to select it. This will not do. Crash reports have been sent to Apple:( [alert admin]

Logitech Control Center 2.7 (Mac OS X)
Junk Software again from Logitech ![]()

Logitech makes nice hardware, but drops the ball with their software for Mac. Their mouse driver is a buggy piece of junk. My cursor periodically takes off flying across the screen on its own, and this new version lost my preferences when it was installed. I had to instruct the driver all over again what to do with the different mouse buttons. [alert admin]

LimeWire Beta 5.0.11 (Mac OS X)
All it does is beachball and crash on my 8 core Mac Pro. Use Limewire 4.18.8 instead. [alert admin]

Mac Pilot 2.5.7 (Mac OS X)
Free with Version Tracker Pro?
Mac Pilot is supposed to be free with Version Tracker Pro, but it keeps asking popping up expiration warnings and asking for money. Annoying. [alert admin]

VersionTracker Pro 4.5 (Mac OS X)
This software is junk. Do not buy. After I update my software, it continues to report old version numbers, even after being relaunched, even after the Mac is restarted! A waste of good money. It is also needlessly complex and unintuitive. [alert admin]

Apple Safari 3.0b (Mac OS X)
Installed easily on my MacBook Pro running 10.4.9. Required a restart, after which my old Safari was gone, replaced by the new one. This made me a little nervous, but Apple included an uninstaller, so no big deal. Surfing & clicking around a bit, I can't tell the difference. [alert admin]

PDF Browser Plugin 2.2.3 (Mac OS X)
Much better than Adobe's implementation, and free for personal or educational use! PDFs load fast, scroll smoothly, display beautifully with many options. [alert admin]

Mouse Locator 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Good for 30" Cinema Display lost cursor woes.
I wear glasses & recently bought an Apple 30" Cinema Display. I kept losing track of the mouse cursor on the large screen. For those with aging eyes, it can be frustrating to find the darn thing again. Mouse Locator works perfectly and unobtrusively, flashing a highly visible customizable graphic locator around the cursor when it is first moved after a sitting still for a user-selectable amount of time. In addition, the cursor can be located any time by a user-selectable hot key combination. The perfect complement for this gorgeous display. [alert admin]

Waring! Waring! Do not use!!!!!!!
Someone as dumb as you actually has a client? Who would try an unknown app in the middle of a project, and then work on files without backing them up?

Apple, this is pitiful!!!!!!!!!!!
It really IS pitiful. Like when I boot a friend's old Pismo from a clone of my Tiger system, in order to run Disk Warrior, and Spotlight takes over for hours as the 400 MHz G3 chugs away indexing. How could Apple overlook something this basic? We need to be able to disable Spotlight at times. What about backup drives, or video drives, where you just want to get to work?

I have used and enjoyed Pastor for a long time, thanks to your work. It's just a little scary when you can't get to your data. I guess I don't understand why the file got disconnected from its application, but I can certainly understand why you wouldn't want Pastor in the recommended list. Sorry for the negative comment.

From Developer's Site: Latest development release (17.03.2006) Pastor 1.7.1rc3 (Pastor171rc3.zip, 1 MB) This version may contain errors. Use it with a copy of your password file only. Installing this version disabled access to my Pastor file. I fixed things by reinstalling both the app and its file from backup.

I am merely reporting what happened.
There was a huge disconnect between what FEX said it was going to do, and what it actually did. Somehow you interpret this to mean I don't know what I am doing?

Apparently you can't read english.
I said FEX destroyed my user folder, leaving my system folder untouched. I wouldn't call that doing what I told it to do.

I took my dual 2.7 in twice for service under warranty. The first time, Apple replaced the proccessors. The beeping was not fixed. The second time, Apple replaced the motherboard & the power supply. The beeping was not fixed. Actually, both techs claimed they couldn't hear the beeping. Why would Apple spend $1600 in parts to attempt to fix an issue they deny even exists? I have given…
