GPS3D 1.20 (Mac OS X)

Seems useless

Perhaps I've missed something but as it contains little help! All I can see is a blurry map of the world. Pressing 'G' gets an advert for Sony Ericson and some overprinted text. Has anybody got it to work? How did it get 5 stars? [alert admin]

StuffIt Expander 9.0.2 (Mac OS X)

Why *censored*?

For goodness sake the software is free and it works what else do you all want? So the version numbers are screwed but the software isn't. If you'd paid for it you might have something to complain about. Sure their desire to sell you stuff is a pain but if they didn't sell something to someone YOU'D be paying for expander. Mac users are too used to getting everything for nothing - wise up and be grateful for what you have - it could have been a PC! [alert admin]

MacPAR deLuxe 2.6 (Mac OS X)

Simply doesn't work with PAR2 files

Constantly says 'An internal error occured during processing'. This is under 10.3.4 and 10.3.5 and the increasing use of PAR2 files makes this software increasing useless, which is a shame as it worked a treat with PAR files. Fortunately MacRarX handles the RAR versions. Others give it 5 stars so perhaps I've missed something - but what's to miss in drag and drop? Definitely down to 2 stars in my book now, soon to be none... [alert admin]

jBidWatcher 0.9.3pre2 (Mac OS X)

Near perfect...

At last it is near perfect. Previously it wouldn't remember settings and could be disasterously slow at critical moments but now, whether due to the author or Apple fixing it's software, it works faultlessly. Possibily it's only downside is the amount I've spent on eBay... ;-) [alert admin]

WorldTime Applet 3.0 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Lovely idea but useless

As the last reviewer said doesn't work from the finder. Also the URL included in the notes doesn't exist. A great shame that someone can't create a useful little program like this. Sadly it's way beyond me though... :-( [alert admin]

Useless

Dragged an avi file onto it and it said "the file is contains unicode please rename it". Tried it with only letters, only numbers with .avi and without. Same message. Maybe problem with the file but the message pretty well summed it up. OS 10.2.8 imac G4 [alert admin]

jBidWatcher 0.9 (Mac OS X)

Used to be good but now I find it worse than useless

I was very impressed with this program - once. Now on my 1Gz G4 with 1G RAM it is virtually useless. Others seem to find it works but using the latest JAVA it has just lost me several bids due its 30 second response time. Normally I have great respect for the author but version 9.1 is worse than useless. As everything else on my Mac works I have no more ideas. I feel like giving it one star because of everything it has just lost me but I guess I'll feel a bit better later and it's not fair to drag the rating down because of my problems, but the sooner the author finds time to fix it the better. It may be free but it's just cost me plenty. [alert admin]

Broken under JAVA 1.4.1

This program was always great - until now. Recent Apple upgrades have broken it for me and for the first time it has has lost me many last minute bids. I cannot count on it any more but I would love to hear from people who can still bid after a 20 second shipe has fired. Some people seem to be having far greater success than I am and I would love to have it…
