Mac Pilot 2.5.2 (Mac OS X)

Rego sucks!

I must agree with the post regarding rego. ONCE is enough. I don't have the time nor the energy to continually complete this process. As well, this was NOT part of the information provided at purchase, so the company in in breach of "full disclosure" requirements, at least in Australia. One more forced rego and I'll be requiring my money back. [alert admin]

D&D Manager 1.3.5 (Mac OS X)

I'd like more flexibility

G'day all, I have used Crystal Ball for the Mac for years, and it has proven to be very flexible and adaptable. Unfortunately, there has been little development on it for a number of years. D&D Manager is developing nicely, but I wish the writers would have a good look at the adaptability of Crystal Ball (such as adding new classes simply, adding skill bonuses etc and use some of CB's ideas to improve their own work. Town Generator 1.1.2 (Mac OS X)

It Does the Job!

Not clear to begin with, but then I never read the instructions any way (I reckon if you need to read instructions, you're better off with a windows PeeCee!) however, it does its job well and can be very useful...... [alert admin]

Internet Cleanup 2.0.3 (Mac OS X)

Must Agree

I had v2 installed and removed it. Read that Allume had fixed the problems I had with 2.0.3, so I re-installed v2, then tried to update. Sorry chaps but your updater is a piece of rubbish. Have removed this software from my system - permanently [alert admin]

JunkMatcher 1.10 (Mac OS X)

Beats the pants off Spamfire

I have tried a number of spam deleting products - after all I've been part of the Internet scene since 1992! Unfortunately, many of them do not work - this one is the best of the thrity or so I've played with. The one I tried before this was Spamfire. After using JM I have completely deleted all references to this software, especially after they decided that their program not doing as it claimed, was no reason for a refund! [alert admin]

Spamfire 1.5 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Still no better

This product started up on my Mac with a window I couldn't get rid of without restarting the Mac and trashing the software. Still doesn't do what it claims, and adds to spam by trying to hit back at the spam senders..... If you want something that works try Junkmatcher! [alert admin]

Spamfire 1.4.3 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

This product failed when most needed

Interestingly, i have been a longtime user of this product, UNTIL a spammer got hold of my own email address and started using that to send mail back to me! I read the FAQ and did what it suggested, but that didn't help. I wrote to the support page and was calmly told to read the FAQ. As well, I was spending an increasing amount of time deleting spam, and trying to sort out what I wanted to keep - the job was getting bigger, not smaller..... Sorry chaps - this product DOESN'T work when you need it most. I've trashed mine, why don't you? [alert admin]

Why doesn't SS automatically delete obvious spam?

Have a read of page 39 in the manual (available from ss help menu). It gives instructions on using the Junk mailbox instead of the spam mailbox, which may solve the problem you're having. Gammo
