Eudora Internet Mail Server 3.2.6 (Mac OS 9)

The best keeps getting better!

We've been using EIMS for several years now, first on an old PowerMac 6500 running OS 8.6, recently on a PowerMac G3 beige desktop running 9.2.2. We have just under 100 users remote and local. We make extensive use of mailing lists and I must say this is one stable piece of software. Glenn is very responsive support wise and has helped me through a problem I was having with remote users. I highly recommend using EIMS as a Mac based mailserver and under OS 9 it's extremely simple to set up and get running. [alert admin]

SpeedScan Not Supported ERROR

After installing the Aug 2004 update I now get the folllowing message when trying to scan a volume: "SpeedScan Not Supported in this version of the engine. Please uncheck "Use Speedscan" in the preferences. What gives with this? I didn't change anything, I just updated the definitions. [alert admin]

NOT ABLE TO GET JUNE UPDATE

I've tried several times and I still can't get the June update. All I wind up with is an empty hqx file. Tried the 2 ftp links shown in the previous review and they no longer work. Soon it will be July! [alert admin]

BootCD 0.5.2 (Mac OS X)

I was never…

able to get past the blue screen. I waited for as long as 30 minutes without any luck. This weekend I tried it in my internal TEAC 540E instead of the SuperDrive. The maching booted in under 5 minutes!! Logged in without a problem. All my internal drives (3) were mounted and accessable. Works great! If anyone is having trouble booting from an Apple SuperDrive they may want to try a faster CD reader to boot from. [alert admin]

BootCD 0.5.2 (Mac OS X)

For the life…

of me I can't get it to work. Waited 25 minutes for my G4 MDD 1GHz to boot and finally gave up. Got past the grey screen all of the way to blue. I even got past the spinning beach ball to the cursor but that's it. Maybe my drives are spinning down or something. Still it works for just about everyone else. Good going! [alert admin]

ASM 2.1b1 (Mac OS X)

Really great! I…

paid for the family license and kicked in a little extra just to show my support. We need people like Frank to continue developing apps like this. You can't always depend on Apple to give you what you need to get the job done.| [alert admin]

Double check

The code I got was da39a3ee5e6b4b0d3255bfef95601890afd80709 not e477afae561de83fe47928ca4aefd4f1e723e7c4. This was on what I downloaded via Software update and then again on the pkg I downloaded from Apple's web page. They match each other but not the code posted on the page.
