2G iPod tough required

In order to use this on an iPod touch, there needs to be a mic and that requires a second generation (2G) iPod touch, correct? [alert admin]

Computer Glasses 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Computer Glasses

We're exploring the use of Computer Glasses in conjunction with our ongoing efforts to train faculty in the use of sophisticated learning and content manageent systems. Being able to do screen shots and screen movies where key visual components are magnified is a major benefit to us. The developer has been very open to suggestions and we expect that this application will soon meet all of our needs in this area. [alert admin]

StoryBoard Quick 5.0 (Mac OS X)

Keynote is Cheaper and Better

From the reviews posted and the price posted, I think I can pass on this one. My shop uses Apple's Keynote for story-boarding and we are quite happy with it. We do complex training movies where scope, sequence and dialogue synchronization are critical. Keynote is a great planning tool. [alert admin]

FrenchTVNews 1.1 (Mac OS X)

No QuickTime -- no good

Without QuickTime support, one can only watch. I need to repurpose, excerpt, etc. WinMP and Real just don't allow that to any useful degree. [alert admin]

DiVA 1.0b3 (Mac OS X)

I really like…

the design of this app in that I can go from MPEG-2 to JPEG or DV or any of teh bizillion CODECs available via QuickTime. My only remaining wish is that MPEG-1 be included in the list of possible source files. [alert admin]

MencoderOSX 0.90rc2b0.6 (Mac OS X)

How about a…

DVD ripper that creates files that can edited easily with standard tools (FCP, Premeire, etc.) and/or transcoded to any CODEC, incl. DivX, supported by QuickTime. That would be much more useful IMHO. Is this a technical or a religious issue? [alert admin]

Import problems

This is disconcerting and will keep me from trying the new Eudora out. I have almost every e-mail I've written since 1995 in Eudora (all outgoing mail is saved in the Out mailbox then Archived byyear/monyh) and heavily depend upon Eudora's very fast search capability.

I could not tell if this software (MacScanPBCarbon) fit my needs because it was expired right out of the archive.
