GLUON ProPack 6.18a (Mac OS X)
FYI: Our customers often refer to alap's stuff as XPert-Toys and Extensis XT's as QX-Toys (usually deleted quickly after installing GLUONs). They don't mind paying 20 bucks more for some serious Pro level Tools....that work great in Quark 3 through 6.5 and 7 to come! Type "gluon" into Google. You'll see Quarks and Gluons work together to create reality...no mention of alap or extensis ;-) [alert admin]

GLUON ProBullets & Numbers 1.0 (Mac OS X)
InDesign Plug-in vs. Quark XTension
While Adobe, the mega-corporation, may have the Microsoft Word knock-off PageMaker plug-in for InDesign that auto formats lists as you type, many of our users hate it when software is automatically altering their text (like a Microsoft product). After all, page layout, unlike word processing is all about fine control. That's why we have a settings dialog where you can control every aspect of bullets, numbers, roman numerals and format or unformat upon your command and control. I guess it's a matter of taste. GLUON Slugger 6.15 (Mac OS X)
Slugger definitely DOES NOT require you to work off a server!
Slugger has been in use for 14 years at some of the world's top publishers. There is no way we could do that if we made it so you HAD to open files from a server. Not sure where this bogus info comes from but we'd love to make a wager about it...prove that we require this and get one copy of all our desktop software for free...worth thousands of dollars! FYI: Slugger can be configured to get a company logo or signoff EPS or TIFF from a server, but we recommend using a local copy. We also don't prevent you from opening files off a server either. We're easy. [alert admin]

Not sure where this bogus info comes from but we'd love to make a wager about it...prove that we require this and get one copy of all our desktop software for free...worth thousands of dollars! FYI: This is especially true of our Illustrator Slugger which has no possiblity of caring about a server unless you go to register it on-line and then only for a minute while registering. We also don't prevent anybody from working off a server...which is perfectly OK too. [alert admin]

GLUON WebXPress 5.2 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
Sorry...it requires the Pro version to have the 13 or so additional export formats available. Non-pro only has 8 export formats. We do make this very clear on our web site. [alert admin]

Pay no attention to the highly misinformed comment regarding "WS Word". I's not in the program...at all. [alert admin]

GLUON Cropster 6.0 (Mac OS X)
We had intended to add the page range feature, but just porting it to OS X and Quark 6 was enough of a task. In the mean time if you are making books, we recommend using Master Pages if you want Cropster to appear identically on every spread using those master pages. As for price, we need to survive too and we have many customers who use Cropster for years many times a day, saving many minutes each time...what's time worth? Please note the 5 star rating for Cropster for InDesign and it's way behind our Quark version. [alert admin]

GLUON TableMaker 5.61 (Mac OS 9)
everyone GLUON isn't "raking in the cash" on any of our products. People make a lot more money using our products than we do selling them! I'd like to put in a plug for us developers who aren't Quark and aren't Adobe. We have good ideas too and we think of stuff neither of them have. In fact, Tablemaker takes a unique approach to tables which will allow us to do things in the future which will make "word processor" tables look pretty lame (as they do now). This is a designer's world...things evolve...so stay tuned in. [alert admin]

GLUON ProGuides 5.5 (Mac OS 9)
it in ProPack, it's only about $24. That seems fair considering how much time it saves, not to mention how much highly skilled programmers cost to keep employed ;-) [alert admin]

In fact there is a whole dialog tab dedicated to customizing every aspect of crop marks...offset, thickness and LENGTH are included. Are we looking at the same program?
