TabletMagic 2.0b8 (Mac OS X)
Very nice, now works well with GD-1212-R, a dream come true as I could not afford a new tablet that size at the moment - I thought I was going to have to go down to an A5 or A6. Nice to have the oversized A4 going instead. [alert admin]

TabletMagic 2.0b4 (Mac OS X)
Improving buit not there yet for me.
Great anticipation here. I have a big GD-1212-R tablet and I was delighted after the latest download to see the name pop up in the tablet pane as I activated the driver. The last version did not get that far, but alas the current one gets no further. So it can now see my tablet and read the name of it, but I can't move the pointer with it. Awaiting further progress happily, it hopefully will save me having to boot into OS 9 when I want to use a tablet. [alert admin]

PlaintextPaste 0.2 (Mac OS X)
Very nice, it's been on my system less than twenty minutes so I can't say it's had a good workout but I did test it and it all I can say is Apple should buy it from the author and roll it into OS-X. [alert admin]

You buy a Serial to USB adapter; mine is a KeySpan adapter I bought on eBay, it works beautifully and I'd recommend them if you want such an adapter. There are a lot of different ones about, most are now not being manufactured so you'll need to buy one second-hand.

Sorry about the multiple posts, not sure if it was a bug in my browser or a bug in the Version Tracker php code, but one or the other.

No, my keyboard is an ADB device, and it doesn't show up as a USB device. In fact in the system profiler it doesn't show up at all, only its driver in the extensions list. The Blue-and-White G3 (which is what I am using) was the last Apple tower system to have an ADB port, though it shipped with a USB keyboard and mouse. I use an older Apple Design II keyboard because it…

The wording isn't really very accurate here. ADB devices can be supported under OS X because I am using one to type this, and it's never given a problem. It is harder than it should be, and finding documentation is like finding a dodo's egg, but it isn't impossible. It would be better to say that the work is too hard and/or time consuming along with oher committments the programmer has.
