LimeWire 5 Beta 5.0.4 (Mac OS X)
Should have stuck with the 4.X versions
I too, went back to the 4.12 version, after I found the 5.X completely useless. Been using Limewire for years. When 4.12 no longer works, I'll be looking for a new app. Why oh why did you guys do this?!? [alert admin]

CrossOver Games 7.2.0 (Mac OS X)
I don't think so. None of the many games I've wanted to play are listed. Perhaps the author should specify that a certain type of game may be played, but not at all the games some of want to play. [alert admin]

SafariToHTML 0.7.1 (Mac OS X)
Apparently we are still downloading version 7.1, which was created in December of 2003. This file seems to get hauled out and listed every year. Would be nice if the author would actually put out an updated version rather than keep listing the ancient one. Not cool. [alert admin]

Book Hunter 0.8.3 (Mac OS X)
The program is nice looking, fields for all of the information I would like to store. One major problem though with this version is that the autocomplete does not work. No matter what ISBN you insert, you come up with the same results, which are wrong. I was hoping to use this to easily keep track of my extensive library of hobby reference books without having to manually add all of the information. I'll keep an eye out on this program, but right now, it needs the automcomplete fixed. [alert admin]

Electric Sheep 2.6.9 (Mac OS X)
This seems to be the same version as I've been using for at least a year. Electric Sheep was my favorite screensaver when I had a PPC Mac and was running 10.4 Now that I have an Intel running 10.5, it won't work. It will start running fine, but at some point it will quit and the computer name screensaver takes over. Since I am sleeping while this happens, not sure why. I've done web searches to see what was going on, and found out that this has happened to other people also, but no one was able to offer any workable solution that lasted. Sadly, I had to stop using Electric Sheep. I was hoping a new version would correct whatever is going on, but this seems to be the same version that has been out for over a year at least. I recommend it for anyone still using a PPC though - it's awesome. I still use it on my old iMac that isn't hooked up to the Internet. I've collected almost 1500 sheep so it plays wonderfully! Nice Challenging Twist to A Familiar Game ![]()

This is very nicely constructed. The game adds a challenging twist that gives an old game a fresh feel. This may not be for the first time minesweepers, but for old-timers and fans of the game, this is worth trying. The game allows you to set the level of difficulty and size of the playing field so you can start out slowly or get in some practice before you go for the bigtime. Cool sound effects add more fun. This won't be like any other minesweeper you've tried before but you won't be disappointed. [alert admin]

Squid 1.0 (Mac OS X)
A fun little time waster and diversion when you need to relax a bit. Lots of optional settings to keep the play interesting. Thanks! [alert admin]

Fairies 1.4b (Mac OS X)
I was excited when I saw this version...figured it meant that they had fixed version 1 from freezing/crashing all of the time. What a disappointing slap in the face that this version requires you to pay another $20. As far as I am concerned, I have already wasted $20 on version 1 since I have never been able to play it without it freezing on me. I am running a 1.8Ghz PowerPC G5 and OS 10.4.5 I would NOT recommend this version if you already have version 1 and are having problems...you will have to shell out another $20. They even make mention in the "what's new" that it fixes a critical issue...and to me..that means they should give you the fix without charge. That is just seriously wrong!! Big Fish games won't be getting any more of my business until they give me the fix for Fairies for free. [alert admin]

Euphoria 10.1 (Mac OS X)
Excellent for dazing and daydreaming. Beautiful rendering of colors and shapes, with a lot of options for customizing. I set my screensaver to come on sooner because of this one! [alert admin]

Books 1.1 (Mac OS X)
After the last update I couldn't open Books...just got a bouncing icon in the dock that disappeared after a few bounces. I trashed the app and what I could find in my user library prefs, and reinstalled it. Still no go, so I thought I would wait for a new update. Just tried to run this one (1.1) and it still won't run. Where did I go wrong and how I can I fix it? I loved the first version and really want to get this to work. Thanks. (PS..anyone inclined to tell me to try Library instead...don't bother. I want Books) [alert admin]

LimeWire is a Great way to wreck your hard drive
I'm interested in learning how it will wreck our hard drives. I've never had a problem with LimeWire yet, so maybe I don't know my hard drive is wrecked?

Thanks - I see on his webpage that is what I should have done. I figure I probably screwed something up and cannot remember exactly what I did and the crash log is all alien to me!

OK....I find that I can run the beta, but if I try to upgrade, it won't run. I followed the instructions in the read me file for upgrading, and still no joy. Where are I going wrong here?

san serif - it worked for me with 1177 songs that were in a different location....on a different drive in fact. My library file still existed in that spot, but because that drive does not have enough room, my music resides on another drive. iLyric found them anyway without having to be pointed there.
