iText 0.3 (Mac OS X)
Same crash problem here, I can't launch iText on a PowerBook G4 running Tiger 10.4.11 with all the current updates installed: ********** Host Name: MyPowerBook Date/Time: 2008-04-22 17:34:18.139 +0200 OS Version: 10.4.11 (Build 8S165) Report Version: 4 Command: iText Path: /Applications/iText.app/Contents/MacOS/iText Parent: WindowServer [86] Version: 0.3 (3) PID: 2194 Thread: 0 Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001) Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x00000000 Thread 0 Crashed: 0 libSystem.B.dylib 0x9012cab0 _malloc_initialize + 1016 1 libSystem.B.dylib 0x900033b8 malloc + 48 2 com.apple.Foundation 0x92bcff74 _NSAPDataCreate + 32 3 com.apple.Foundation 0x92bd00f0 NSPushAutoreleasePool + 40 4 com.apple.AppKit 0x9387d410 NSApplicationMain + 60 5 org.zackb.iText 0x0000253c start + 68 [alert admin]

iPhoto Diet 3.1 (Mac OS X)
I actually don't dare to run a "diet" on my iPhoto library after I have seen how much it has changed after the upgrade to iPhoto 7, so I have one question for the iPhotoDiet developer that I think many of us would ask: does iPhotoDiet 3.1 work with iPhoto 7 (iLife '08) and, if not, do you plan to release an updated version supporting it? xCHM 1.11 (Mac OS X)
xChm v1.11 is actually available only as source code, the precomplied binary available for Mac OS X is still v1.10. I tried to compile the v1.11 source but it doesn't pass the configure script. [alert admin]

UNO 1.3.2 (Mac OS X)
I must (partly) revise my previous comment: the actual dmg.zip file (21.1 Mb) is a zip file containing a compressed dmg image (21.2 Mb) ... why compress a compresed file? [alert admin]

UNO 1.3.2 (Mac OS X)
Why not simply use a compressed dmg file? It seems that this format is ignored by many developers, that continue to distribute their apps as x.dmg.zip or x.dmg.gz. Great work, though! [alert admin]

StuffIt Standard Edition 10.0 (Mac OS X)
The dmg file has been finally fixed and now I can mount it and install StuffIt 10 STD, but after compressing some folders I can't expand the zip files with StuffIt Expander 10 ... Downgrading to v9.0.2 things are working again. It's incredible that they want to be paid for a minor upgrade that, considering the plenty of bugs reported by many users, should be considered an alpha release. [alert admin]

StuffIt Standard Edition 10.0 (Mac OS X)
This is the third corrupted file they post for StuffIt 10, yesterday many users reported that downloading StuffIt Expander and Deluxe they had the same problem ... why Allume doesn't test the dmg files BEFORE putting them on the web site??? [alert admin]

Stopwatch 1.3 (Mac OS X)
It does what it should, but a widget with a countdown timer and some kind of alert when the time reaches zero is just what I'm loking for from when I installed Tiger! [alert admin]

Formac studio tvr 3.2.0 (Mac OS X)
They still require "firmware version 1.06" and they still want you to pay to have your Formac TVR's firmware upgraded. Never seen other companies with such a poor and ugly customer support. I agree with many other reviewers here: never, ever buy a Formac product, but in case you already have it just use Vidi to get the best from it. [alert admin]

iSynCal 4.6 (Mac OS X)
Ken, iSynCal has not any OS X or G5 compatibility issue, I use it daily on my G5 with the latest OS X release. Before running the first synchronizations I suggest all users to carefully read the iSynCal online help to avoid any issue, until now almost all problems reported by the users were not caused by iSynCal itself (in particular, they don't pay attention to closing iCal on the remote Mac before running a synchronization). Maybe that the interface needs some improvements, but I can tell you that it creates just one (and only one) invisible file ... don't know what other apps had prevously leaved on your disk all those invisible files you are talking about.

Because IPNetMonitorX has *a lot* a features that WhatRoute hasn't ... but if you only need a tool for traceroute/ping/dns/finger (who in the world is still using finger?) then the Terminal is your friend too.

I have always replied to my users, even to those complaining about the iSynCal 5 upgrade fee, but I never received an email from you.
Anyway, I have explained the reasons leading me to this unpopular decision here:

The Universal version (4.1 Mb) is universal, thus works on both Intel and PPC Macs, the PPC version (1.8 Mb) only on PPC Macs.

From the developer: No need to set up your synchronization every time, just do it once and save your settings in a MultiSync document.

I can't understand your point of view, why still use StuffIt 7, the first OSX compatible version ??? The current version is still a beta, but v9 it is much, much faster, and v10.0 has a better integration with Tiger.

Could you please tell me more precisely when did you get the error/lock?
Consider that when you start a synchronization the first phase is "Parsing calendar data" for the local (or master, if selected) calendar, the second phase consists in parsing data from the remote (or non-master) calendar while the third phase is the "real" sync process.
A popup status panel with some text and a progressbar will report the running phase and the name of the…
