EasyFind 4.0.1 (Mac OS X)

A brief "Help" document would be useful

I absolutely love EasyFind and never consider using Spotlight or Control-F. But, it would be great if a brief Help pulldown dialog or and RTF/PDF file was made available. I would like to know the difference between "Move to Trash" and"Destroy". Is the latter just a combination of move-to-trash and empty or it is more, such as a secure delete? [alert admin]

Health Tracker X 3.1.0 (Mac OS X)

Health Tracker X - thank goodness I tried the demo first!

I feel fortunate that I did not buy this software before I tried the demo version. • It plain doesn't work - at least for tracking blood pressure (systolic, diastolic and pulse) • I could at least get a graph of just the systolic or diastolic pressure to plot but I found I could not combine both on one graph. When I tried to plot just the pulse I received the following message: "An exception of class OutOfBoundsException was not handled. The application must shut down." The only choice was "OK". • When I tried to just "Save As..." the "Things to Track" box I received: "An exception of class NilObjectException has not handled. The application must shut down." • Documentation is dreadful and does not match the application. If you are thinking of buying this software, for goodness sake, try the demo version first! Did rate the Price a good. But is it really, if the software doesn't work? [alert admin]

Shredder 20050612 (Mac OS X)

Followup to my previous Shredder review

I still have not received a reply from the author of this application and the download still does not work! I wish it were possible to rate this item with *negative* stars. This is one time I'm sorry I supported someone's shareware! [alert admin]

Shredder 20050612 (Mac OS X)

Do not download this version!

I've been using Shredder successfully for several years. Yesterday I downloaded (multiple times) the latest version of Shredder and stupidly trashed my old version. When I went to use or open this version of Shredder I received the message "You cannot open the application "Shredder" because it may be damaged or incomplete." Mr. DeKorte has not responded to my email requesting help. So, my advice is to keep your prior version if it's working. If you want to try the newer version, for goodness sake do not toss the prior version! BTW: I've downloaded and expanded other software yesterday so I doubt if my OS or Stuffit is at fault. CiphSafe 1.2.1 (Mac OS X)

CiphSafe's future of concern

I've been using CiphSafe for many years - probably since it was first released and have depended on it as reliable, troublefree and secure. I'm now extremely concerned about the future of the Application. It appears that the author, Bryan Blackburn, and his Web site <http://www.withay.com> have vanished! Apple will be releasing a new OS either later this year or early next year. I'm fearful that if one forgets to manually copy their data from CiphSafe before they upgrade they (me) will loose all the passwords and other data that has been saved over the years. Does anyone have a suitable replacement program that is still being maintained and will remain viable for the foreseeable future? [alert admin]
