USBCat 1.0 (Mac OS X)

PPC Only?

You can't do a PPC-only software in 2008. Even if it's just a silly usb cat utility, you should have compiled it in UB format. [alert admin]

Tunnel 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Nice

I'd love to see more of these SMS-controlled minigames. I have to say that this one gets boring a little too fast, but I assume it's just the nature of the original old game it's been made upon. The control on my MB is almost perfect, you could go on forever without even coming close to the walls. It could actually become a nice game if you make it more challenging. [alert admin]

JAP / JonDo 00.09.003 (Mac OS X)

Nice

It works better than I expected. The interface doesn't follow Apple rules, but it's a java piece of software so I already knew it. Speed really depends on what service you're connecting too, some are very slow while others are actually fine for browsing. [alert admin]

Transmission 0.94 (Mac OS X)

Good

Still the best lightweight torrent client on the Mac. And yes, the new 0.94 is really a bit faster than the 0.93 was. [alert admin]

Nova X 0.4 (Mac OS X)

Bad try

Ok, first and foremost: this is extremely ugly. And by ugly I mean something you would expect from a 10y.o. kid who wants to do something cool but has no idea of what he really wants, so he puts a little bit of everything: a drawer here, a floating window there... and then another floating window and then another one (yes, you can fill your display with floating windows thanks to this software). But let's get into the features, since the autor doesn't bother writing them down: - there's a browser window. - there's a search side drawer (that uses YubNub as the default engine? I haven't even heard about that name in my whole life, but I'm pretty sure I don't want it as my default search website). - there's a calculator (why would I want a calculator while I'm surfing the web? I have no idea). - there's an iTunes play/pause controller. - there are two links to "ryan and friends" forum and chat (who is Ryan? why are these links in the "tools" menu?). When I think about a "fast lightweight browser with helpful tools", I can think of Sunrise or Shiira. They might not be perfect, but indeed they are light and they have some nice tools. Nova is just plain bad. It's a waste of download time and hd space, I only want to get rid of it as soon as I can from my computer. This kind of stuff might be OK for a school project, but it shouldn't be here on versiontracker. [alert admin]

PhotoBook 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Very nice

This is a good example of a pretty Mac software. The GUI is very stilish and easy to use, and it really makes me want to look at the pictures my friend have online. What more can I say... I like it. [alert admin]

MacFace Fixer 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)

what does it look like

For those who'd like to see it before using this "patch", the icon is exactly the same of FMenu: a blue square with a white F inside. [alert admin]

Worth The Cost To Purchase!

Same here. I learned about it with the free licence, and I've found it SO good that I actually decided to buy a regular license (I did it 2 week ago, before 2.6 was even released). We all knew the free licence wouldn't have given us eternal upgrades. They said it at the beginning, they said it (i think twice) in the newsletter, and it was written even before upgrading to the new version. I don't…

.DMG problems...

I've also noticed that you probably just need to rename the file from ".dmg.bz2" to simply ".dmg" (I have no idea why Safari adds the bz2 extention to this file).

video chat

aMSN has video chat support with MSN Messenger, but with no audio. If this Yahoo client gets audio and video fully compatible with Live (MSN) Messenger, that we have a real winner.

quite agree

there's a bugmenot account active there so at least we can skip the registration steps but... you'er true, the website is damns low, and there are no seeds for the torrent files.
