QuarkXPress 7.0b1 (Mac OS X)
Earth to Quark: No One Cares. Our 150+ person design team is switching to InDesignCS2 this month. Think about it, Quark, you snobbish j@ck@sses: that's 150 licenses that you'll never see renewed. Now go away. Poof. Scram. Git! [alert admin]

ChronoSync 3.1.2 (Mac OS X)
I've used Retrospect for years, both at work and home. When it works, it works. When it doesn't, it's often too layered and complex to easily troubleshoot. Chronosync, on the other hand, is my answer to Retrospect's confusion. Granted, there are layers to Chronosync that I don't need nor understand, but it's 1. much more simple than Retrospect, 2. customer support is tons better than Dantz, 3. You can't beat the price. Highly recommended! Been using it for over a year to back up data from my primary drive(s) to my two LaCie firewire backup drives. Goodbye Retrospect, hello Chronosync! [alert admin]

Logitech Control Center 1.5.0 (Mac OS X)
Like the product (have three Logitech mice), but this update, once I restarted killed my ability to use the mouse at ALL. ZERO! Being a wireless mouse, should I have told the mouse and receiver to find each other again using the buttons on each? If so, would have been nice to KNOW this before installing the $#@% application. I'll contact Logitech, but until I get an answer, this software has been uninstalled. Yuck. [alert admin]

Lugaru 1.03 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
This game is mega-addictive. I bought it the same day I played the demo. I cursed at the rabbits and the wolves. I pounded my feet. And I loved every minute of it. Way too much fun... And to think this is shareware, from one dude. Pretty impressive! [alert admin]

A Better Finder Rename 6.9 (Mac OS X)
So, will Tiger's Automator kill ABFR?
Just reading about OS X Tiger yesterday, specifically Automator. It'll do what ABFR will do according to what I saw on Apple's site. Will ABFR become obsolete? I'm a paying user of ABFR, but I have to admit that I prefer less apps on my machine and if Tiger's components can do the job... [alert admin]

Second report: *censored*tail 3.6 is for Tiger ONLY
That's funny. So, I can't type *censored* and get it to show up? Hmmm. How about a certain planet name that ends in four letters meaning your sphincter: URANUS? Let's see if that works...

Candybar Plus is not easy to use.
I agree with Stormkid. CandyBar is pretty simple stuff, man. Try to be objective, walk through it again slowly. If it still boggles your mind, please refrain from operating machinery or applying for an Air Traffic Controller position. What?! I'm just sayin'!...
