Calq 1.3 (Mac OS X)

Dang

The PDF files that come with this won't open. That's the only way how to find out how it works. [alert admin]

XLR8 MAChSpeed Control 3.4 (Mac OS X)

Dang

Yikes, I have version 3.0.3 and after reading these reviews, I think I'll leave well enough alone. It's a lame a$$ application anyway. I'm not real sure what it does. You would think that they would just give this update or upgrade to people that have already paid. At least a break in the price. I think I'll wait for this to become solid and 4+ stars before I pay money for it, and that's a big maybe. [alert admin]

Cog 0.01 (Mac OS X)

What the

Not bad for a first step. It would be nice to play my iTunes tunes on this without having to save them somewhere first. You have to double click the play button to get it started and the thing that looks like a vol control and is really a progress bar is a little buggy. The graph button next to the recycle button does nothing. I haven't tried a music CD yet so I don't know how that will work. I have hope for this and will keep an eye on updates. [alert admin]

Hanihani Operation Sanctuary 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Aww Man

164 MB Bit Torrent. I never could get those things to work. I think you have to give up some security to get them downloading faster. I wasted an hour and only got half way. I gave up. Now that I read that it's not even a real game, don't waste your time. Go fishing instead, I am. [alert admin]

iSay 1.1.2 (Mac OS X)

Nuff said

Don't you just hate whinners. 20.00 is a great price for such a cool application. Heck, I loose more than that going shopping for my wife and forget to use the coupons, what ever those are. These guys have the best and most solid you will ever use. Their support is unmatched. I was VERY happy with CopyPaste and use it all the time. Now they come out with iSay, which is just amazing. Voice email, what a great idea. [alert admin]

Java Embedding Plugin 0.9.2 (Mac OS X)

Where's the beef ?

I'm not sure if this works or not. I don't notice any change and I follow the read me each time. Safari and it's Java is the ONLY browser that works with USPS.com using Click-N-Ship. Well OK, so does Shiira & iSurf, but they are the same as Safari just faster. I've been hoping for a long time now that this would let me buy and print out shipping labels using FireFox or Camino, but it still doesn't get it. [alert admin]

Konfabulator 2.0 (Mac OS X)

Yep

About the only thing new in OS 10.4 besides tons of bugs is the Dashboard thing. Thanks to trying this application, I have no need for something so silly. Now I won't feel left out not upgrading to 10.4 and just praying for the next update to maybe fix a bug. I have no bugs now with OS 10.3.9 and I think I kind of like it that way. I won't spend all my time trouble shooting for the next two years. If you want a solid OS 10.4, just keep your OS 10.3.9 and download this app and there you have it. You even save 120.00. ZoomQuilt 2.5 (Mac OS X)

Way Cool

If you've never done LSD, try this. It's real close to what goes on in your mind while tripping. EXCELLENT. While watching this, it was hard to breath and I think I saw God. Then I went outside and started to see little people running all about and my chickens started talking to me. [alert admin]

OnyX 1.5.2 (Mac OS X)

OK by me

Most of us don't have Tiger and a lot of us really don't want it right now until the bugs get worked out. OS 10.3 really didn't get it together until 10.3.9. I'm waiting about a year before thinking about Tiger. From what I've heard so far, the only thing different in Tiger is that silly Dashboard. That would be the first thing I'd trash on it. OnyX is super. [alert admin]

My Reply

Great little app. I was wrong about the progress bar. I just tried it again. When I would drag it the song would not change, but that seems to be working now, my mistake. I also found my iTunes music. That is also a mistake on my part. The play button needs work. When I highlight a song and hit the play button nothing happens. You have to double click on the song in the…

Lassie, where is Timmy

Yes, your missing something. BootCD makes an emergency Boot CD. It lets you put applications in to help fix what ever the problem is that your having on your main drive. It works great for doing that. It does take forever for it to load but it's great to have in a pinch.

Carbon Copy

I've got you beat on the computer knowledge, that I'm VERY sure of. I started out helping to invent the home computer, computer chip, and later the harddrive. I've been there from the start and I'm still here. I can walk into ANY computer main office and be known by name on sight. CCC has the worst support I've ever seen. SuperDuper is the safest and most stable of all the clone apps. You really…

Yes the originals were fried in a fire. I made a clone of my main drive using CCC. Right after that my main drive fried and when I cloned it using the backup, the backup was not good AT ALL.

With SuperDuper or Disk Utilities there is no chance of User Error. With CCC it's like a mine field. There are thousands of people on the so called forum that agree with me.

very good

Try Phoenix Slides. I like this just the way it is. It's nice to have different features in different applications. That way we get the one we like. If they all did the same thing, then why not only make one.
