Monkeybread REALbasic plugin 7.8 (Mac OS X)

Excellent product!!

I've been using the MBS plugins for my software development for a few years. I can't imagine developing in REALbasic without them. These plugins make the development of sophisticated applications (in my case, educational software that demonstrates visual perceptual phenomena and simulates clinical vision tests) possible with REALbasic are worth every penny. Komodo IDE 4.1 (Mac OS X)

Too pricey now

I purchased version 3.5. They had a standard and a pro edition. Version 4 is 2-3X as expensive since there is no longer a standard edition. While it's a nice tool, it's priced itself out of the range of the everyday Ruby or Python scripter who does not need web-based apps, CSS, XML, and Ajax. All I wanted was to program in Ruby and Python with decent tools to automate my system -- I can't justify the increased cost for a wealth of features that I don't need. [alert admin]

RBUnit 2.1 (Mac OS X)

Excellent tool for RB programmers!

I've used RBUnit for a long time in my projects and highly recommend it. It implements a REALbasic equivalent of the standard JUnit/NUnit/etc. unit testing framework. The sole capability that it lacks is mock objects, but that is a relatively minor omission. [alert admin]

DeltaGraph 5.7.4 (Mac OS X)

Updater does not work

I own DeltaGraph 5.7.3 (running on OS X 10.4.9 Intel), and the 5.7.4 updater states that I have the most recent version. It will not install. [alert admin]

OSS 3D 2.2 (Mac OS X)

Excellent sound quality, good support

I'm very pleased with OSS3D. Its sound enhancement features are excellent, and improbe the sound quality even on my SoundSticks. While I initially had a problem with receiving a working serial number, the company worked with me to resolve this issue, including trying to contact me to ensure that I was satisfied. [alert admin]

OSS 3D 2.1 (Mac OS X)

Nice product but no working serial number received!!

I ordered OSS3D at the end of December. I received no response, then after emailing the company was told that they only handled Windows licenses and that I should try their partner company. After sending a few emails to them, I receivede a serial number that is not accepted by the program's registration window. I still do not have a working serial number despite several email requests. I am extremely upset -- I liked the product when I tested the demo, but just threw away $30 due to unsatisfactory customer service. [alert admin]

Drive Genius 1.5.1 (Mac OS X)

Very responsive sales and tech support!

I received my 1.5 CD-ROM today, and had a question about it. I received a very prompt response from tech support, and a very gracious solution to my problem from sales support. In addition, Drive Genius has always worked flawlessly on my Intel machines (and on my former Power Mac). I highly recommend this product. [alert admin]

Sirds 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)

Needs additional stereogram modes

"Wall-eyed" (divergent) stereograms will work fine for many people, but many others cannot diverge accurately enough to achieve fusion and stereopsis for these stereograms (e.g., people with convergence insufficiency; when diverging, they lose fusion and cannot regain it easily). This program also needs to also generate "cross-eyed" (convergent) stereograms. This is a simple thing to do -- just reverse the direction of the binocular disparities generated. [alert admin]

Thanks for responding. I don't know why your email is not reaching me. Your email was not listed as having been rejected by my college's spam checker, and it has not shown up in my home spam folder. I'll visit your site and leave my phone number.
