I have been using this plugin almost every day since I installed it... and now they made it even better! If you haven't tried Akvis Sketch, you don't know what you are missing. Every Photoshop friend I have has become addicted to the Sketch plugin. The developers listen to the users and keep making it better with each release. Try it, buy it, and thank me later. Akvis SmartMask 2.5 (Mac OS X)
Smart Mask v 2.5 Simply the best in its class ![]()

If you use Photoshop as much as I do, the question is not "when" do you need a masking plugin, the question is "which one" to use. Akvis Smart Mask won this battle of the masking plugins hands down. I tested OnOne Mask Pro, Vertus Fluid Mask, and the new Akvis Smart Mask v2.5. All had similar features, with the exception of a few important items which I believe sets Akvis Smart Mask apart from the competition. 1. Memory - Akvis did not suck the life out of my MacBook Pro, as did the others over a period of time. When tested equally over a 30 minute period, Akvis was the only plugin which did not cause my MacBook Pro to run hot. 2. Quick and Clean Interface - I personally like the interface of Smart Mask much more so than the others. It loads quickly, it is easy to navigate, and it responds almost flawlessly. 3. Price - Again, Akvis Smart Mask wipes out the competition, no need to rub salt in the wounds of the others. All in all this is one fine program which does what is says and more. Save yourself time, effort, and money... try it and buy it... thank me later. [alert admin]

KoalaCalc 4.3.1 (Mac OS X)
I have been looking for and testing every calculator I could find. I almost purchased PCalc, but searched one more just for the heck of it. AM I HAPPY I DID! KoalaCalc is the best I have found, and it is FREE. But, if you like it, consider sending them a donation from the link on their site. I think they deserve something for providing a great application. [alert admin]

AKVIS Sketch 8.6 (Mac OS X)
Your search is over, you don't need anything else to accomplish what Akvis Sketch can, along with your beloved Photoshop. I found the answer with this excellent plugin. Nothing compares to Akvis Sketch. I have tested almost every competitive product available. Akvis Sketch is by far the most accurate and detailed. I have tested it against other Photoshop plugins, Photoshop action scripts, and standalone applications. I have been using Photoshop since the day they released it, and am currently using version CS4. If you are an Adobe Photoshop fanatic, and you want the ability to extend Photoshop into another dimension, do yourself a favor and download a trial copy of Akvis Sketch and test it out for yourself. I'll bet you end up purchasing Sketch. You will not be disappointed. It is well worth the price. Don't waste your money purchasing another program to do what Akvis Sketch can, along with every professionals favorite... Photoshop. Stay tuned, as I will be downloading, testing, and reviewing all of the other Akvis Photoshop plugins and posting my results. [alert admin]

Adobe Photoshop CS4 11.0.1 (Mac OS X)
I have been using Photoshop since it was first released years ago. I own every upgrade. The new CS4 is by far the most complete and easiest to use. Adobe has listened to it's customers and recreated the standard once again. If you want the best... If you want the standard by which all others are judged... If you want to be able to talk shop with professionals who use nothing but the highest quality software money can buy... You Need Photoshop. (And to answer your question... Adobe doesn't pay me to write reviews, I do it because I enjoy their products, and want others to have the opportunity to know what they are missing). [alert admin]

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, and again, and again... MacJournal has no equal. Dan sets the standard in my book for understanding the needs of the consumer. If you don't own MacJournal, you are missing more than you can imagine. It is simply the best in its class. [alert admin]

Amigos Number Puzzles 1.0 (Mac OS X)
If you love number puzzles, you need this new app/game. I saw the new posting, downloaded it, installed it, and have not stopped using it all evening. The program is addicting! Of course, you have to enjoy number puzzles, in order to appreciate the quality of the developers work. The game installs perfectly, runs perfectly (I have not found a flaw yet in over 3 straight hours of playing), and in my opinion is worth the price they are asking. I recently purchased Hoyle Puzzle and Board Games 2008, specifically so I could have their number games, and was disappointed to find that they only provided Sudoku. This new Amigos Number Puzzles program is the solution I had been looking for. All-in-one so to speak. Try the demo, it runs very smooth, and I'll bet you end up buying the full version. Speed Download 5.0.5 (Mac OS X)
Speed Download is a "Must Have" for Mac users ![]()

This was the first add-on I purchased over a year ago when I bought my new MacBook Pro. I knew I needed a product similar to that which I used on my PC. I simply cannot imagine owning a Mac, and not owning Speed Download. If you have never tried it, do so, you will be glad you did. The software is not a memory hog, it is quick, it does what it claims (and more), and it is backed by a software company that understands customer support. Oh, one last thought... in my opinion, it is worth a heck of a lot more than 25 bucks. [alert admin]

BetterZip 1.7.1 (Mac OS X)
This is a great product. It is quick, and it does not suck up resources. I dumped stuffit for BetterZip, and my MBP handles compressed files more efficiently. Try it and you'll buy it. It's worth the small price for great results. [alert admin]

Spiritman1, you have not posted on VersionTracker in almost a year, and name-calling/defamation is your honest opinion? Your childish response displays your lack of credibility.
