Trailerpark QT Classic 1.1.8 (Mac OS 9)
Quite a different beast from my other players, and that is what makes it fun for me. One problem with this version on my classic iMac 600, OS9.1 is the frame and audio rate were choppy until I turned off the scrolling tips in the about box. No big deal, but you have to be aware of it. Also, an increase in memory allocation has helped me in previous versions, but I am not sure if it is still necessary for me or you. PC like???... probably....does not matter as it serves a purpose for me. [alert admin]

I also had the accept button problem. The button would not light up. Note that the first time I tried to install it, I hit the decline button as I need to abort. However, on my second attempt, after about a 30 seconds, it finally light up. Yes, the serial number thing was a pain. So was having to manually install the application into my Toast folder. But nothing too complicated. 5 stars for continued 0S9 support. Thanks. [alert admin]

Noble Ape Simulation 0.664 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
In my opinion it is an academic simulation of the "goings on" in the brain of a Microsoft employee as he (or she) interacts with his physical environment on the lush Redmond campus. Notice the wildly enhanced brain activity when the selected drone comes across a dramatic innovation in the landscape such as Apple's iTunes Music Store. A unique program for academic types and herb smokers who need something to stare at. Pass the potato chips will ya :) [alert admin]

Snak 4.9.6 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
No snak icon after unstuffing, just the generic, so I opened the package and copy pasted the old one on throughout. 0S9.1, classic iMac 600 [alert admin]

WaMCom 20030723 (Mac OS 9)
However, I have no problems getting to the Server Settings page. My problem is I cannot find a box in which to enter the password my pop email server requires once I am there. Yes there is a box to enter the server name, user name and port, but no box for entering my password. In my Outlook Express settings page, there is a password box, here there is not. Thus my question is ...in which box on the servers settings page do I enter my password. Also, the Shockwave installer would not install into WMC for me either. What I did is installed shockwave into Internet Explorer, and then copied what was installed in the IE plugins folder into the WMC plugins folder. Only one item is installed in the plugins folder, the rest is installed into the Macromedia folder in the Extensions folder. Seems to work for me. [alert admin]

WaMCom 20030723 (Mac OS 9)
I cannot receive email as I cannot find where to enter my pop server password in WMcom. With Outlook Express there is a box to manually enter it, under where one enters his pop server address. With WMcom, I cannot find a place to manually enter it, nor does the password manager bring up a box (and it is turned on). Nothing appears when creating a second or third account using the email wizard. Lastly, are there any better forums then here to ask such questions -thanks. iMac 600, 0S9.1. [alert admin]

For some reason my Speed Download will not download this for me, so I used my regular download manager. [alert admin]

I am having the same scrambling problem with my VersionTracker description pages. I reported it last night to VT tech support and they said at that point one other person had reported it and the tech people would look at it first thing Monday morning. Also, while your waiting, check out the new mozilla browser called WaMcom recently released here on VT. It is getting VERY high reviews and a new version was just posted a few hours ago. In my opinion, it is far more stable then IE, generally just as fast, (if not faster), and best of all - no scrambled pages. [alert admin]

WaMCom 1.3.1 (Mac OS 9)
Try restarting. Try reinstalling and tossing the old prefs. Try 2x or 3x memory to WMC in get info. Installing the same third party plugins you have in IE to WMC. Turning off the return or mouse options in Pop-up Zapper Lite (or turning it off all together) if you have it. I had similar function key problems on my imac 600 9.1 on first install and some where along the line it disappeared after doing the above. [alert admin]

IE is still the best for my particular situation, however a new Mozilla based alternative called WaMcom was recently released on VT and is VERY much worth comparing especially if you have stability problems with IE. It is in my opinion rock solid stable and generally as fast or faster then IE. It also is getting very high reviews. It is a real contender to IE for OS9 and for some/many people, probably a better alternative. [alert admin]

Ya, I know about the pop-up window that is suppose to appear. The problem is that when I click new mail, it does not appear. When my pointer gets to the button section, it turns into a watch and nothing happens when I click new mail. As far as I can tell, my settings are all correct, even have checked them against what I have in OE. Probably some sort of software…
