SWF & FLV Player 3.7.15.6206 (Mac OS X)
Yesterday I wrote Eltima that downloading movies from YouTube did not work in Mac OS 10.4.11 (PowerPC) with the version published that same day. The next day Eltima contacted me, announcing a new debugged version. And indeed the version 3.7.15.6206 of SWF & FLV Player functions like a charm again. [alert admin]

Saft 8.3.12 (Mac OS X)
Saft allowed me to disable "AutoComplete always on" and thus, the nasty URL auto-completion of Safari does not nag me any more. Previously, the only workaround I knew of was to press the space bar once before typing the URL. Now Saft does the job for me. I appreciate this very convenient feature indeed. [alert admin]

Saft Lite 3.0.0 (Mac OS X)
I had to turn the option "Open safe files after downloading" in Safari's preferences ("General" pane) ON when I wanted Safari Lite enabled. Fore more information and corresponding test files see http://secunia.com/mac_os_x_command_execution_vulnerability_test and www.heise.de/english/newsticker/news/69862 I apologize to everybody for revising this post several times (typos) and thank the developers for this smart plugin! Service Scrubber 1.1 (Mac OS X)
Predestination or coincidence?
Yesterday I installed Service Manager as suggested by Christopher Breen in Macworld, and I was happy, today I replaced Service Manager Beta 1 with Service Scrubber 1.1 and aside from minor flaws, such as double entries in menu and list of Dienste (Mac OS 10.4.3 German), I am even happier now. On the mistatree.org website Vince states that version 2.0.1 of Psst! cannot be activated from the Finder in Mac OS Tiger - however, the current version is perfectly sufficient for me: getting rid of the startup chime because it is useless! [alert admin]

I had the same situation with the mini window in both Tiger and Leopard. However, when enabling in preferences the option Show Animation When Window is Minimized/ Maximized the minimized window will restore indeed instead of disappear. Maybe this workaround is possible for you too... Still, there are other bugs in Minimize-in-Place. Sorry Unsanity people, but right now I do not have the time to deliver a precise description. Hopefully, you will find the bugs yourself…

HimmelBar recognizes only applications. But, when I use Automator to open a particular document and save the resulting mydocument.app into the custom folder, HimmelBar will open the corresponding document. Thus, I made the System Preferences manageable from Himmelbar (in spotlight click mypreference-info and then control-click the corresponding preference icon)!
