ThermoInDock 0.9 (Mac OS X)

No thermal sensor on my G3 400?

Please tell me with which Mac this app works. It seems it doesn't work with G3 nor G4. I use OS X.3.9 [alert admin]

Utilitunes 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)

no copy/paste

Copy/Paste doesn't work. In the liner section. I copy the name of a track and paste it in iTunes to update the matching untitled track. iTunes and Utilitunes lag for a minute. When I take the control back, nothing has been paste. (OS X.3.9 - iTunes 6.0.4) [alert admin]

Sofa 0.6.0 (Mac OS X)

No further development

Cedric Menard, the french author of this soft, has passed away on the 13th feb 2005. So I think there won't be any further development. I regret this because Sofa is a very good app. Now, every new iTunes update may alter the stability of this soft. I use iTunes 6.0.4 on OS X 10.3.9 and Sofa quit unexpectedly with no apparent reason. Otherwise, it is a very powerfull and fully customizable app. Thanks Cedric ! [alert admin]

OnDeck 1.9.4 (Mac OS X)

When will it work correctly?

It's the 3rd version of this app that I'm trying (1.7.1, 1.8.3, 1.9.4). It's still far from perfection. You don't have the ability to change text color or background window color. It would be much appreciated cause the informations are almost unreadable, even with transparency set to 0, it's still transparent. Some variable are still not working: you can't display the year or the length of the song in the main window. Maybe some other variables are not working but I didn't try it all. A new feature could be cool: the window fade in and out when a new song is beginning. But maybe it's not the purpose of this app. [alert admin]

Cover Version 1.1 (Mac OS X)

OS X 10.3 recommanded?

This plug-in works fine on my little G3 400Mhz. Regarding those who have problems on OS 10.2.8: maybe Panther is recommanded. I use 10.3.9 with iTunes 6.0.4. There's a weird behaviour with the cubic mode when artwork is too large: the cube seems to open itself in some places to see it from inside. It's cool somehow but I don't think it's on purpose. To correct this, simply check "maximum size". This setting has a wrong name. It should be "optimize size" or "fit to screen". Actually, it resizes the artwork: little ones become bigger and too big ones become smaller. If you like this, you should test "JewelCase". I use both !! I'm a geek, I know, but I'm not ashamed ! GasLight 0.42 (Mac OS X)

Sharp Overlay needed

I have only a black screen, unless I check "Sharp Overlay" in the settings. Since the plug-in defaults on a preset with this option unchecked, it's quite misleading: I thought it wasn't working at all. Does it mean I'm missing some underlays? I use a G3 White Blue 400Mhz with its original ATi Rage 128. I'll try again later with my Radeon 9200, which is supposed to be OpenGL savy. [alert admin]

Logitech Control Center 1.6.2 (Mac OS X)

old devices don't need this new version

I have an old Cordless Optical Mouse. Since I installed this new driver, I experienced some weird moves of the cursor and the shortcut I assigned to the third button/wheel never worked. I got back to my 1.1.1 LCC version and everything is fine. 1.6.2 doesn't bring any new function. So, if you've got an old device, stick to your old driver! [alert admin]

ACARD 1.5.7 (Mac OS X)

Is it 1.5.6?

I installed this 1.5.6 version on my Mac OS X.3.9. The extensions installed appear as from 1.5.2 version. There is no explanation at all with this update, not even a read me ! And acard.com seems to be dead for the moment... [alert admin]

DeepBurner 1.6 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)

Audio CD creation...

... doesn't work! I can't add the cd tracks to the list to be burned. I followed the manual. Maybe I've missed something? [alert admin]

LimeWire X 4.9 (Mac OS X)

Works fine with OS X.3.6...

... but still as slow as ever. My G3 has a hard time using this java app. And as always, my 1Gb RAM is almost fully used by the app. So, LW has kept the same flaws and has brought a few new GUI features. [alert admin]

Works, some rough edges

About the settings button. It's an iTunes issue. You should complain to Apple. I agree some iTunes functions are almost hidden. You can only discover it through time. Maybe the plug-ins developpers should have that in mind to help users have a complete experience with their plug-in, but we can't blame them for Apple's unfinished business.

Show respect!

You don't need to insult people who work hard on a software. I'm glad such people exist and make my life happier because I'm unable to write programs. So, even if the software isn't always perfect or if a new OS X version makes it useless, please respect people. Not everyone can upgrade to the last OS X version. And anyway, it's useless to be insulting: therefore your comment is useless too.

Will not start

My copy of LimeWire is not on the same hard drive as my System and works correctly. Anyway, I got the same problem before and resolved it by updating Mac os Java runtime.
